  • Who you are

IKEA, the global leader in home furnishing solutions, has been developing in France for over 40 years with the same vision: “to create a better everyday life for the many people.” Driven by our culture and values, we are passionate about life at home.
At IKEA, we live the Swedish culture every day. And just like in Sweden, we use first names with everyone, regardless of role or unit. That’s why we’ll do the same from this job posting and throughout the recruitment process!

You are passionate about sales and customer interaction, and together with your team, you strive to deliver the best for customers.
You support your team in understanding customer buying behaviour, achieving targets, and developing their skills. This motivates you just as much as achieving your own performance goals.
You have already created and implemented action plans and budgets, with performance follow-up.
You have solid professional experience in a service or retail environment (preferably in large-scale retail) and have management experience.
You are comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken.

A day in your life with us

As a Sales Department Manager, you are part of the store management team. Your role is to ensure a positive shopping experience in order to increase sales and secure long-term profitability. Want to learn more? Cyrielle shares her experience in this role on our page on welcometothejungle.com.

You define and drive the commercial action plan for your store.
You contribute to the creation of the store’s business plan and ensure alignment between national strategy and your unit’s priorities.
You lead and inspire the sales team to enhance the store’s attractiveness, encouraging customers to visit more often and buy more.
You ensure that sales areas are always in perfect condition, fully stocked, and that the range is presented in an inspiring and smart way.
You encourage your team to respond quickly to commercial opportunities, supply and performance analyses, and customer feedback.
You collaborate with your team and other store functions on planning and implementing commercial activities to increase sales.
You monitor local competition and make commercial decisions accordingly.
You recruit, develop, and lead your team.

    Salary
Between €49,010 and €70,590 per year, depending on experience and skills (gross annual salary including the 13th-month bonus, based on a full-time 35-hour contract).

    Benefits

    A 13th-month bonus
Up to 18 additional days off (RTT)
An IKEA bonus and profit-sharing scheme rewarding collective performance
A company savings plan and retirement savings plan
A competitive company health insurance from day one
The possibility to enjoy a healthy and varied meal for less than €3
A 15% discount on your IKEA purchases

    * Some of these benefits are subject to seniority conditions.

    Together as a team

We are the ones meeting our customers – in our stores, online, in our catalogue and beyond. We have knowledge of the IKEA product range, local markets and customer needs and we constantly find new ways of making real connections with our customers to maximize sales and profitability. Together with thousands of colleagues around the world we’re a diverse team working for the continued global success of the IKEA Concept – a concept that helps millions of customers create a better everyday life!
