    • What you'll need to have

    '- Minimum 2 years of carpentry experience in a commercial, retail, industrial, or similar environment.
    - Proven ability to perform carpentry, painting, and general maintenance work to a high standard.
    - Strong knowledge of the safe operation and maintenance of power tools and hand tools.
    - Comfortable working at heights and using ladders safely.
    - Ability to lift and carry up to 25 kg (55 lbs) on a regular basis.
    - Strong planning and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    - Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and stakeholders.
    - Flexibility to support a variety of store maintenance and operational needs as required.

    A day in your life with us

    '- Perform carpentry, painting, and general repair work in a high-quality, efficient, safe, and cost-conscious manner.
    - Prioritize work effectively to minimize disruption to store operations and the customer experience.
    - Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other equipment required to complete assigned tasks.
    - Identify, source, and order materials, tools, and other resources required for maintenance and repair projects.
    - Complete preventative maintenance, repairs, and store improvement projects to support a safe and functional environment.
    - Support various store operational and facility needs as assigned.
    - Adhere to all health, safety, and workplace regulations, including working safely at heights.
    - Share information, insights, and best practices with co-workers and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and execution.

    Please note : While this position is primarily based at IKEA Etobicoke Store, occasional travel to the IKEA Toronto downtown store may be required to support business operations.

    Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
    Job Type : Full-time, Temporary ( 12 months contract)

    The starting rate/ salary for this position is 47,341 CAD
