    • Who you are

As an iOS Engineer, you'll work alongside an international team of talented colleagues across engineering, design, product, QA, and data. Together, you'll turn customer needs, business goals, and new ideas into seamless mobile experiences that make shopping with IKEA inspiring, simple, and enjoyable.

You have hands-on experience developing native iOS applications, using mobile development best practices and design patterns. As a guideline, we’re looking for around 1–8 years of experience, but your skills, mindset and potential matter more than the number of years. You have a degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

You're passionate about learning and staying ahead of industry trends. Whether it's a new technology, framework, or way of working, you're eager to explore, adapt, and apply new ideas to help us build better products and foster a culture of engineering excellence.

What you'll be doing day to day

At IKEA, we're creating digital experiences that make everyday life a little better for the many around the world. As part of the IKEA App team, you'll help shape the mobile shopping app used by millions of customers every week, whether they're planning a room makeover from the comfort of home or navigating one of our stores.

    • Build and maintain high-quality iOS experiences in Swift for IKEA customers.
    • Use AI tools to support software design, code generation, and testing, while maintaining high standards for quality, security, and maintainability.
    • Work closely with engineers and cross-functional teammates in an agile product team, participating in discovery, planning, refinement, and delivery to bring customer-focused solutions from idea to production.
    • Share knowledge, support other developers and explore new technologies, and better ways of working.

    Together as a team

We're a team that cares deeply about our customers and uses feedback, data, and experimentation to continuously learn and improve. We believe the best ideas come from collaboration, curiosity, and a willingness to challenge ourselves to do things better.

    Questions and support? Let's connect!

This role is based on-site at our Malmö office, Sweden, with the flexibility to work from home when relevant. We believe we're at our best when we come together, collaborate and build strong relationships.

As we work from the office three days a week, you will need to be based within a commutable distance of Malmö to support regular office attendance and in-person collaboration.
