  • IKEA Warrington, WA5 7TY, are looking to welcome a Warehouse Assistant to join our hard-working fulfilment team.

    We're looking for a proactive Warehouse Assistant to help keep our warehouse running efficiently and safely. You'll support stock replenishment, process deliveries, manage recycling and waste, maintain high housekeeping standards, and work with warehouse equipment to ensure products are available for customers every day.

    Health & safety regulations for this role, you must be 18 years of age or older.


    WHAT WE OFFER

    • Start date of employment will be: 3rd November 2026.
    • Hourly rate of £13.45 per hour
    • 16 hours weekly, working 2 days out of 7. The set working days for this contract are Sunday & Monday each week.
    • Working hours are between 6am – 6pm.

    Some shifts for this role will start at 6am. Please be aware that links to the store by public transport may be infrequent. If you will be using public transport to get to the store we ask you to consider your transport route before you apply.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

    • Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential.
    • Ability to priorities and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
    • Be self-reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
    • This is a physical, hands-on role, which includes manual handling stock & recyling, whilst also working to a deadline.
    • Due to Health and Safety Regulations all applicants must be over the age of 18.


    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

    • Support customers in the warehouse by helping them locate products and providing assistance to meet their needs.
    • Ensure products are readily available by completing warehouse tasks accurately, efficiently, and on time.
    • Support the receiving and organisation of deliveries, ensuring goods are processed, stored, and replenished correctly.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment, including general housekeeping and stock organisation.
    • Clear cardboard and recycling from across the store, ensuring recycling areas remain tidy, organised, and compliant with store standards.
    • Operate equipment such as the cardboard baler and compactor safely and effectively to manage waste and recycling.
    • Work collaboratively with teams across the store to ensure recycling and waste are collected, sorted, and disposed of in a timely manner.
    • Follow all IKEA health, safety, and security procedures, actively contributing to a safe environment for co-workers, customers, equipment, buildings, and products.
    • Work with or around warehouse equipment, including forklift trucks, counterbalance trucks, and pump trucks, to safely and efficiently move goods.
    • Support stock replenishment activities and prepare the warehouse and sales areas for incoming deliveries and the next trading day.
