    We are looking for an engaged and motivating Team Leader for our Picking & Packing Department in Gentofte. This is an opportunity to lead a team that ensures our customers receive their orders accurately, on time, and with a high level of service every day.

    As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in the daily operation, delivering results through people. You will motivate, develop, and support your employees while ensuring efficient workflows, high quality standards, and a safe working environment.

    Who are you?
    You are a leader who enjoys being close to day-to-day operations and is motivated by achieving strong results together with your team. You are able to maintain an overview in a fast-paced environment and create structure, engagement, and collaboration around you.

    We imagine that you:
    • Have experience in people management, preferably within retail, logistics, or warehouse operations.
    • Have experience with warehouse and logistics processes and understand the importance of an efficient goods flow.
    • Are skilled at motivating, developing, and coaching employees.
    • Work in a structured manner and can establish clear frameworks and effective routines.
    • Communicate confidently in both Danish and English, verbally as well as in writing.
    • Hold a forklift license and have experience operating reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts, or are willing to obtain the necessary certification.

    Your responsibilities

    As the Team Leader for Picking & Packing, you will be responsible for the department’s daily operations. You will ensure that customer orders are picked, packed, and prepared for delivery or collection with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

    You will be a visible presence in the day-to-day operation and lead by example as a role model for your team. At the same time, you will actively work on developing employees and optimizing processes to continuously improve the department’s performance.

    • Ensure efficient and smooth daily operations.
    • Lead, motivate, and develop team members.
    • Actively participate in operational tasks and provide visible leadership close to employees.
    • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
    • Collaborate across the store/warehouse to ensure an efficient flow of goods.
    • Identify and implement improvements to work processes and routines.
    • Contribute to a culture characterized by collaboration, accountability, and high quality standards.

    Further information

    • The position is full-time (37 hours per week) on a salaried employee contract, with additional and overtime hours included in the salary.
    • Salary will be based on qualifications and in accordance with IKEA’s salary policy.
    • Working hours are scheduled across all days of the week between 6:00 AM and 8:30 PM, including approximately 1–2 evening shifts per week and every second weekend.
    • You will report directly to the Food Manager on a daily basis.
