  • Who you are

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst – Supplier Management to join the Digital Area – Group Functions. In this senior role you will shape how we engage, govern and get value from our digital vendors and suppliers across Group Functions.

You are a senior digital leader with deep experience in supplier and vendor management in a complex, global environment. You combine the analytical depth of a Senior Business Analyst with the ability to shape and orchestrate vendor strategy, governance and performance across multiple products, platforms and business areas.

You recognize yourself in several of the following:
You have 10–15 years of progressive experience in digital / IT / analytics roles, including significant exposure to vendor/supplier management and service delivery across multiple domains (e.g. Finance, People & Culture, Procurement, Risk, Digital Workplace, ERP and other core platforms).
You have a proven track record of leading vendor and supplier ecosystems – from strategic partners and system integrators to tactical and operational suppliers – in a global, matrix organisation.
You are passionate about intentional vendor engagement: segmenting vendors (strategic, tactical, operational), defining clear roles, and ensuring we engage the right partners for the right purpose – balancing speed, innovation, cost and risk.
You are experienced in supplier governance: designing and running decision frameworks, steering forums and performance reviews, and aligning commercial models (e.g. outcome-based, fixed-price) with business goals.
You are a strong analyst: able to translate business strategies into KPIs, dashboards, forecast models and insights that drive decisions on vendor portfolio, TCO, value realisation and risk mitigation.
You are comfortable working with large-scale digital platforms and ecosystems and understand what it means to manage strategic platform vendors in a “shape–build–run” model.
You lead through influence and collaboration: orchestrating across product, platform, Group Functions and Procurement, and coaching colleagues and stakeholders rather than relying on line authority.
You are curious, self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity. You enjoy connecting strategy to execution and making complex vendor landscapes simple, transparent and value-creating.
You are motivated by the IKEA vision and culture and enjoy a working environment where values, collaboration and simplicity matter as much as technology.

The must-haves we see for this role:
Approx. 10–15 years of progressive experience in digital / IT / analytics, with a substantial part in vendor/supplier management, service delivery or sourcing.
Proven experience leading supplier governance horizontally across multiple platforms, products and/or business units in a global environment.
Deep knowledge of vendor/supplier and performance management frameworks – including segmentation (strategic/tactical/operational), SLAs/XLAs, KPIs, risk management and continuous improvement.
Strong experience working with commercial models and financials (TCO, contract structures, cost drivers) and understanding the commercial consequences of technical and sourcing decisions.
Demonstrable experience in analytics and reporting: building dashboards, leveraging forecasting / predictive tools, consolidating insights and turning data into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Excellent stakeholder management skills; able to work with senior leaders across Group Digital, Group Functions and Procurement, balancing enterprise-wide standards and local needs.
Experience from leading transformation / transition initiatives (e.g. establishing new vendor models, onboarding new suppliers, re-negotiating contracts, rationalising vendor landscapes).
High proficiency in spoken and written English.

A day in your life with us

You will play a key role in shaping and orchestrating the supplier ecosystem for Digital Area – Group Functions, ensuring that our vendors and partners are intentionally engaged, well-governed and delivering measurable value over time.

    You will secure that:
Our vendor landscape is transparent, structured and right-sized – with clear segmentation of strategic, tactical and operational suppliers.
Governance is simple, scalable and effective, enabling holistic decision making and a cohesive “one IKEA” face towards key vendors and partners.
Performance, risk and commercial outcomes are tracked and continuously improved through data, insights and structured reviews.

    This means that you will:
Own and evolve the supplier & vendor management framework for the Digital Area – Group Functions: standards, segmentation criteria, decision frameworks, performance dashboards and governance routines.
Map, analyse and continuously update the vendor portfolio, consolidating contracts, spend, roles and dependencies across domains to reduce complexity, duplication and risk.
Define and maintain vendor segmentation (strategic, tactical, operational; shape / build / run; criticality levels), and ensure it is applied consistently in sourcing and engagement decisions.
Partner with Enterprise Architecture, product/platform teams and Procurement to align vendor choices with the overall digital strategy, ensuring we maximise our investments and avoid vendor sprawl.
Design and drive governance forums with key vendors and partners (e.g. strategic platform providers, system integrators and SaaS vendors), covering roadmap alignment, innovation opportunities, performance, risk and commercial topics.
Develop and maintain dashboards and scorecards for vendor performance, value, risk and cost – and translate these into clear insights and recommendations for leadership.
Support and challenge teams on commercial models (e.g. outcome-based, fixed-price, capacity-based), helping them choose models that match business needs and incentivise value delivery.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to simplify governance, streamline vendor interactions, consolidate contracts and optimise license and service utilisation across domains.
Work closely with Group Procurement and Legal on contract alignment, renegotiations and exits where current setups no longer support the strategy.
Promote knowledge retention and risk mitigation practices (e.g. dual sourcing, structured handovers, documentation and capability building) to reduce dependency on individual vendors.
Coach and mentor colleagues (e.g. business analysts, service owners, product teams) in vendor strategy, governance and analytics, building capabilities across the organisation.

    Together as a team

We see ourselves as influencers – we steer the IKEA business by finding the truth behind the figures. Together we secure compliance with local and international laws and reporting standards; we assure that accounting processes are efficient and that tax compliance meets business needs. We’re a diverse group of people driven by providing reliable financial data to a wide variety of stakeholders. At the end of the day, that’s one of the foundations to make IKEA even better!

You will be part of the Group Functions Digital Area, a global team responsible for delivering and evolving digital capabilities across key areas such as People & Culture, Finance, Procurement, Risk & Compliance and other Group Functions.

We work closely with both business and technology partners to ensure that our platforms and services work for the people who use them every day and support our journey of digital transformation.

    We can offer you:
The opportunity to shape how vendor and supplier management works across the Digital Area – Group Functions at IKEA.
A senior role with high visibility and impact across multiple domains and markets.
A team of great colleagues to learn with and from – with world-class experience across technology, sourcing, vendor management and Group Functions.
A flexible and friendly working environment, where you can grow and develop together with us.
Opportunities to have a global impact with your work.
