    Our team within IKEA

As the Unit People & Culture Business Partner, you will be an active member of the unit People & Culture team and a trusted advisor to unit managers. You will support the delivery of the unit business and people plans, working closely with local leaders to build a strong, capable and engaged workforce. You are someone who:
    • Acts as a trusted advisor to line managers, helping them implement the unit business and people plans to achieve operational goals and objectives.
    • Works with stakeholders across the unit to ensure people processes are applied consistently, creating a great experience for every co-worker.
    • Partners with line managers to enable inclusive talent management and the continuous development of local leadership capability.
    • Supports business leaders with the people aspects of transformation in the unit, acting as an active advocate for standardisation and change.
    • Safeguards the IKEA Culture and Values in the unit, representing the voice of the co-worker and ensuring IKEA remains a caring employer and a great place to work, across the full co-worker experience.

    Together as a team

You bring a genuine interest in people and business, and you enjoy working in an environment that blends strategic thinking with hands-on, practical action. You build trust easily with leaders and co-workers, and you take pride in creating a workplace where people feel supported and valued. You understand how to translate business priorities into meaningful people initiatives, and you bring sound judgement when resolving people-related issues and applying policy. You communicate clearly, collaborate well with others, and are comfortable navigating ambiguity and change.
To be considered for this role you will need to have:
    • A university degree together with two years of related experience, or a minimum of five years of related experience, demonstrating the practical grounding needed to advise leaders with confidence.
    • Strong business acumen and an understanding of business models, enabling you to connect people initiatives to broader commercial goals.
    • Sound digital literacy, allowing you to work confidently with the systems and tools that support people processes.
    • Experience in HR issue resolution and policy management, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes for co-workers.
    • The ability to make operational, tactical and strategic decisions, balancing immediate needs with longer-term priorities.
    • A track record in performance management, supporting leaders to set expectations and develop their teams.
    • Skills in solution design and development, helping you create practical responses to people challenges as they arise.
    • Strong stakeholder relations, built on trust, credibility and open communication.
    • Experience in strategy development, connecting the unit's people plans to wider organisational direction.
