  • Who you are

You understand how the right partnerships and relationships can strengthen our position and ability to shape the environment in which we operate. You are a team player motivated by creating lasting business impact. With a background in corporate communications, public affairs, sustainability, corporate affairs or a related field, you have extensive experience building and maintaining trusted relationships with senior leaders, policymakers, NGOs, industry organisations and other key stakeholders. You know how to turn networks, insights and partnerships into meaningful outcomes.

We believe you are externally focused, strategic and curious about what the right relationships can unlock - and confident in activating them. You look beyond today’s priorities to identify the opportunities, partnerships and conversations that will matter tomorrow. At the same time, you are a skilled relationship builder who understands that trust is built over time. You bring credibility, confidence and a collaborative mindset, enabling you to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, both inside and outside the organisation.

    We believe that you bring:

    • At least 8 years of experience within stakeholder engagement, partnership, public affairs, corporate communications, sustainability or related fields
    • A strong track record of building and nurturing internal and external relationships
    • Experience of working in complex and international environments
    • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
    • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and coordination

    Your responsibilities

Relationships have never mattered more. As Stakeholder & Engagement Leader, you will build on the existing foundation while shaping how IKEA engages with prioritised organisations, leaders and networks that influence the future of the IKEA business, the consumers and co-workers as well as society at large.

You will lead IKEA's global stakeholder engagement and partnership agenda, strengthening strategic relationships, identifying future opportunities and helping the business make informed decisions about what partners we engage with, where and how.

Working closely with senior leaders across Ingka Group, you will help ensure IKEA remains a trusted, credible and influential voice in the conversations that matter the most to the business and people.

    Your main responsibilities will include:

    • Drive proactive stakeholder engagement that strengthens trust, supports business priorities and reinforces IKEA’s leadership in times of both opportunity and challenge.
    • Develop and maintain a global approach to stakeholder engagement and partnerships, enabling functions and markets to engage effectively and in line with Ingka and wider IKEA priorities.
    • Lead Ingka's participation in strategic stakeholder forums and events by identifying opportunities, shaping key messages and coordinating spokespeople and deliverables.
    • Develop strategies, frameworks and tools that strengthen stakeholder engagement capabilities across markets and functions.
    • Identify, evaluate and develop partnership opportunities, ensuring they deliver long-term value, align with IKEA priorities and support a responsible and transparent engagement agenda.

This is a permanent role located in Malmö, Sweden. You will report to the Corporate Affairs Manager. Please note that relocation support is not available for this position. Therefore, we are looking for candidates who are based within commuting distance of Hubhult Office, Malmö, and can work on-site at least three days per week.

    Together as a team

Corporate Affairs is a part of Group Communication. The main objective is to strengthen trust in IKEA through strong stakeholder relationships and a deep understanding of the world we operate in. We turn that understanding into action - helping shape regulatory conditions that are good for both business, people and the planet. In doing so, we create the right conditions for IKEA to grow, lower costs and simplify, while staying affordable, relevant and credible for the many people.
