  • What you'll need to have

    【Required Qualifications】
    • Formal qualifications in Marketing or equivalent
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Marketing, including experience of 360 Marketing & Communication Campaigns and delivering results
    • Strong experience in the creative process of campaigns – on company or agency side
    • Experience of taking insights from data to inform and develop marketing communications strategy and clear directions
    • Experience in project leading (planning, time and budget management, driving output and measuring business performance)
    • Ability to communicate cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders to deliver to common goals and objectives
    • Passion for IKEA as a brand and its vision
    • Currently resident in Japan

    【Preffered Qualifications】
    • Experience from retail, preferably home furnishing sector

    【Language Requirements】
    • Business level English, Native level Japanese

    【Purpose of this Job】
    Lead Marketing Communication activities and solutions that deliver business results aligned with brand identity, positioning and commercial planning.

    Please note that this recruitment is primarily for the Marketing Communication Leader position. Depending on experience and qualifications, candidates may also be considered for a Marketing Communication Specialist role.

    【Your Responsibilities】
    • Active contributor among Leaders within the Marketing team and proactively contribute to marketing plan/output to deliver to the common objectives and goals.
    • Secure consistency of all marketing communication consistently across brand and commercial communication from global and local deliverables/activities.
    • Contribute to the integrated process for marketing communication development by proactively working with Communications team and Digital Customer Meeting Point (DCMP) team, to secure one voice in the market, and maximize the business and consumer impact.
    • Support the development plans in local communication activities in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Support all initiatives within and outside commercial included in the agreed communication plan.

    Flextime system with core hours from 10:00 to 15:00 (based on labor agreement).

    IKEA Japan’s Service Office (headquarters) is located on the 5th floor of IKEA Tokyo-Bay.     Our Marketing Team is a collaborative, cross-functional team covering customer engagement, marketing performance, integrated media, and marketing communications.

    The Marketing Communications team plans and executes brand and commercial communications across digital and offline channels. We localize global content, locally develop integrated campaigns and content, and ensure a consistent brand experience across all touchpoints. Working closely with media, SEO, content, online content, and campaign orchestration leader, we aim to strengthen the IKEA brand, engage customers, and deliver business results.

    About this work area

    【Employment Status】
    - Full-time regular employee- 40 hours per week contract
    - Probation period: 6 months (not applicable for internal candidates)
    - Start date is the first day of every month (consult with us about your start date)
    - Retirement age: 65 years old
