    As the Co-worker Relations Specialist for IKEA Australia & New Zealand, you will contribute to the overall co-worker relations strategy and support the organisation in upholding our global co-worker relations principles and code of conduct. You will help create the conditions for an engaging and healthy working environment where co-workers can develop and perform. In this role you will:
    • Ensure that relevant global people policies and standards are fully supported and implemented across the country
    • Establish and maintain dialogue with co-workers and representative organisations
    • Work together with all units to secure the implementation of country HR policies and procedures in line with employment law compliance and follow-up
    • Support leadership capability in co-worker relations
    • Follow up on the I Share (IKEA’s co-worker insights process) at country level.
    • Protect IKEA as an employer from potential labour related risk through consistent labour relations practices
    • Identifies, evaluates, and monitors actual and potential labour issues evolving internally or externally that could create significant risks for IKEA.
    • Implements and follows up on IKEA Employment standards and compliance across all units.
    • Contribute to the health and wellbeing framework at country level

You bring strong working knowledge of employment legislation and dispute resolution, including the rights and obligations of workers and employers, and how to mediate relationships between workers, employing entities, and trade unions. You understand how to create, implement, and follow up on rules and practices that ensure accountability, compliance, fairness, and transparency. You are familiar with IKEA's corporate identity, core values, and vision, and you represent these with confidence and integrity. You are a self-starter who accomplishes goals and delivers results, builds collaborative relationships across teams and functions, and communicates ideas and opinions effectively in both verbal and written form.

    To be considered for this role you will need to have
    • A minimum of one year of Human Resources experience, giving you a solid foundation in people practices and workplace policies.
    • A minimum of one year of experience in co-worker relations or a closely related field, with exposure to employment law, workplace investigations, or labour relations.
    • Experience working within a global matrix organisation and/or participating in global projects, enabling you to navigate complexity and collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
    • A cross-functional understanding of IKEA's matrix and operations is preferred, as it will support your ability to work effectively across the business.
