    We are excited to announce the launch of our new store in Chandigarh, an important step in our journey to create a better everyday life for many people.
    Following the successful openings of our two stores in Delhi, this new location strengthens our presence in Northern India and brings IKEA closer to customers in one of the country's most dynamic and culturally rich cities.
    As we prepare to open our doors in Chandigarh, we are looking for passionate co-workers who share our values, are inspired by home furnishing, and are committed to creating meaningful experiences for our customers.     • Knowledge of relevant risk & compliance, health, safety & security laws/legislation, standards, and rules
    • 3 years of Project Management experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Preferred)
    • Any additional certifications in health & safety, security and fire safety will be an advantage.
    • understanding of testing and commissioning processes
    • previous experience of commercial fit outs or rebuilds
    • High integrity and having a risk & compliance mind-set
    • Ability to communicate with various audiences both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization
    • Extensive knowledge of national laws and legislations connected to health/safety and security
    • Extensive knowledge of relevant health, safety and security steering documents and working methods within Ingka Group
    • Good understanding of business processes
    • Intermediate understanding of the risk assessment and Management Process • Good knowledge in how to implement, lead and drive an agenda.
    • Good knowledge of the IKEA corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people
    • A strong promoter of IKEA culture and values

    Your responsibilities

    To lead and develop a proactive and comprehensive agenda of a healthy working environment, mitigating risks and ensuring that all functions identify, assess and proactively handle those risks. To protect IKEA coworkers, visitors, external partners, customers and assets from preventable loss, injury or illness, and contribute to the positive working environment for all.
    • Promote risk management in the unit, informing and sharing expertise in order to develop risk aware decision taking in relation to unit goals and unit business plan.
    • Secure the implementation and follow through of Ingka Rules and Local (country and regional) legislation, guiding local stakeholders, to ensure compliance and a healthy, safe and secure environment for customers, visitors, co-workers and external partners, also operating risk and compliance verifications within the matrix framework.
    • Conduct internal investigations, analysing unit processes and data in collaboration with local and country stakeholders, following Ingka group rules and standards to ensure compliance.
    • Identify and plan for the proper trainings needed and facilitate for co-workers and external partners to meet IKEAs/Ingka's risk appetite.
    • Create a Risk & Compliance culture by developing leadership and conscious approach in identifying and implementing systems to detect, analyse and reduce business loss, financial impact, prevent incidents and accidents.
    • Be the single point of contact for all the matters connected to Risk & Compliance when it comes from Authorities (when applicable).
    • Coordinate the Unit Crisis Management Team for the handling of any emergency cases and perform appropriate actions according to the “Ingka Emergency Response rules” to ensure process is followed and all key stakeholders are involved.
    • Plan for and ensure that Crisis Management trainings and ways of working are in place in accordance with the CMT working method and Country and Local CMT plans and protocols to ensure all involved know their responsibilities.
    • Coordinate external vendors and appropriate vendor management to ensure proactive mitigation of risk by ensuring the right resources
