    • Who you are

    We are looking for a Shop Design Specialist II who with his/her passion and creativity could take the IKEA store to the next level of inspiration and commerciality.

    Your knowledge, skills and experience include:

    • Education in Architecture/Interior Design/Fine arts.
    • Experience of working with interior design or visual merchandising in a retail environment.
    • Knowledge and experience of using relevant software – Microsoft Office, AutoCad, SketchUp, Revit would represent an advantage.
    • Good personal disciplines and an ability to work to set deadlines - ability to prioritize and organize own work to make the most efficient use of time available.
    • Ability to generate, draw/ visualize and present new ideas and concepts.
    • Creative thinking supported by commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics.
    • Actively seeking new and improved ways of working simply and cost-efficiently.
    • A practical hands-on approach to working in a fast-paced retail environment.
    • Good level of spoken & written English communication skills.

    Your responsibilities

    • Create and lead the planning and implementation of store layouts and range presentation solutions that are based on global, as well as local priorities to improve the shopping experience and strengthen the IKEA brand.
    • Plan and implement relevant, inspiring, affordable and commercial range presentation solutions supporting/improving the customer's Life at Home, reflecting a wide variety of styles and price levels and intended to exceed customer expectations.
    • Utilise global tools to apply local and national guidelines to store visual merchandising.
    • Engage and collaborate with co-workers and relevant stakeholders to support process completion in a safe and cost conscious manner.
    • Develop own strengths, goals and objectives that are in line with personal growth, team goals and business objectives.
