    • You have at least 3 years’ proven experience in manager/leadership role and you lead by example, inspiring and empowering your team to achieve great things together.
    • You are always looking for ways to renew and improve, with a curious mindset to challenge existing solutions and find better ways of working.
    • You are a business-minded leader with a passion for selling and a proven record of driving sales and profitability in a fast-paced retail environment.
    • You are genuinely passionate about home furnishing and understanding the everyday lives of people in the Kuopio area to create a better shopping experience for them.
    • You are a true team player who is motivated by the success and development of your team members as much as by your own personal achievements.
    • You understand the modern retail landscape and have the ability to steer the business in an omnichannel environment, seamlessly connecting our store in Kuopio with our digital presence.
    • You are fluent in using various digital systems and programs, such as Excel, Power BI.
    • You are a clear and inspiring communicator with fluent English skills, capable of building strong relationships with both your team and our customers. Other language skills are considered an advantage.

    What you'll be doing day to day

    As a Deputy Sales Manager, your main mission is to lead and inspire your team to optimize the shopping experience, ensuring satisfied customers and driving sales and profitability in our Kuopio store. Together with the Sales Manager and your team of five Shopkeepers, you will achieve this by using your knowledge of the IKEA product range, the local market, and our customers to steer the business in an omnichannel retail environment.

    • You will lead the implementation of the commercial action plan, always seeking ways to renew and improve how we meet our customers.
    • You will analyze our sales performance and customer feedback to make informed decisions that improve the shopping experience.
    • You will lead and develop your team by setting clear goals, providing regular follow-ups, and fostering an environment where every co-worker can grow.
    • You will ensure your team is ready and available to support our customers, using your passion for home furnishing to inspire both co-workers and customers.
    • You will take responsibility together with Sales Manager for reaching our financial goals and KPIs, taking action on deviations to secure our long-term success.
    • You will secure the successful implementation of our shared goals for IKEA in Finland, sharing and adopting good solutions from other teams and stores.
    • You will build strong collaboration and togetherness with our planning studios in Jyväskylä and Oulu to ensure a seamless and inspiring customer journey.
    • You will act as a role model for IKEA values, leading by example in your everyday work and interactions.

    This position is full time 37,5h/week and Permanent. Starting in the role during May or at the beginning of June at the lates.

    In this role your main working hours are between 08.00-16.00 and include some weekend and evening shifts. Main work location is IKEA Kuopio store.
