    What you'll be doing day to day

    • Assume primary responsibility for the silo automation Material Flow Control System (MFC).
    • Maintain the silo Warehouse Management System (WMS), including stock keeping processes and storage strategies.
    • Respond to silo related system issues, troubleshoot effectively, and report disruptions promptly.
    • Operate and perform routine maintenance on conveyors, cranes, and other automation/silo related machinery.
    • Maintain regular communication with operational partners to support daily unit goals.
    • Proactively follow established working routines to minimize silo downtime and contribute to positive silo operations.
    • Coordinate and support third party suppliers performing silo maintenance, system updates, or other technical tasks related to the silo and its components.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment across all areas of the fulfillment unit.
    • Contribute to a strong IKEA culture that values diversity and inclusion for all co workers and customers.
    • Support high performing daily operations by developing and optimizing automation system capabilities with a proactive, end to end fulfillment mindset.
    • Handle system errors, perform minor bug fixes, and maintain a neat, clean environment to ensure peak machine performance.
    • Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechanical problems, and perform repairs as needed to maximize system uptime.
    • Implement and coordinate Level 0 support, conducting analysis during disturbances and responding to disruptions or system configuration failures.
    • Lead system deployments, including implementing system developments, configuring operations, and building the necessary competencies to operate automated solutions.
    • Act as a change agent by supporting leaders and co workers during system, process, or operational shifts.
    • Monitor and follow up on automation KPIs, creating action plans to improve performance in line with defined system setups.

    HOURS: 34-40 hours per week.

    The pay range for this role is $24.01/hr. - $37.27/hr. based on Ikea relevant years of experience.

    Qualifications

    • Safety Minded
    • High School diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or relevant experience.
    • College/Trade school education in Industrial Electrical/Electronics, Facilities/Industrial Maintenance, or similar field with emphasis on electrical/electronics training preferred.
    • 1-3 years IKEA and/or retail logistics/distribution services experience with emphasis as an on-site technician required.
    • Previous material handling equipment experience preferred.
    • Technical knowledge of conveyor systems and storage/retrieval machines (cranes) a plus.
    • Ability to be harness trained, work in tight spaces, and at elevated height required.
    • Have strong reasoning and analytical skills for error correction, and the ability to troubleshoot using schematics, test tools, and computer based monitoring and testing software.
    • Have basic knowledge of PLC’s and connected components, along with basic network communication and connectivity experience.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./30kgs ergonomically. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
    • Must be mechanically inclined and understand mechanical devices, not limited to: motors and gearboxes, chains and sprockets, wire rope and sheeves, bearings, etc…
    • Be self-motivated, confident in making decisions, able to work independently and as a team.
    The starting rate/ salary for this position ranges from 24.01 USD to 37.27 USD and will be based on relevant work experience.
