  • Who you are

At IKEA, we believe that recruiting is about people, possibilities and creating a great experience from the very first conversation. As a Senior Recruiter, you will join a dedicated team supporting recruitment across Group Functions, Centres & Investments (GFCI) in the Netherlands, Sweden, India, Poland and Spain.

As a Senior Recruiter, you are an experienced in the field who understands the opportunities and challenges of tech recruitment. You know how to turn business needs into thoughtful recruitment strategies and deliver results in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You are comfortable taking the lead, even when priorities change or the way forward is not yet fully defined. You communicate clearly, build trust, and enjoy working with stakeholders at different levels. You are curious, keep up with recruitment trends, and look for practical ways to improve processes and outcomes.

    We also believe that you:

    • Have solid experience in tech recruitment and sourcing strategies, with a demonstrated track record of personally owning and closing technical searches.
    • Have experience in in-house Sr. recruiting roles, preferably for a multinational company.
    • Can build alignment with and advise hiring managers while offering constructive challenges when needed.
    • Are committed to fair, inclusive and transparent recruitment.
    • Communicate clearly, handle sensitive information thoughtfully, and approach feedback with humility.
•Lead by example and are a strong ambassador for IKEA culture and values.
    • Are currently based in the Netherlands.

This role is based at our Amsterdam office, Amshult, and reports to the LOS Team Leader Recruitment in Sweden. We offer flexibility to work both from home and from the office. Because meeting, co-creating and collaborating in person matter to us, you will need to be able to commute to the office at least three days a week.

Please note that relocation support is not available for this role.

    Your responsibilities

Your main focus will be recruitment for Group Digital, leading assignments across several countries with particular focus on the Netherlands. You will recruit for key leadership and complex roles, working closely with hiring managers to understand their needs and connect them with the right talent.

You will take ownership of the recruitment journey—from intake meeting and sourcing to interviews, assessments, references, offer preparation and candidate feedback. Throughout the process, you will help create a fair, transparent and welcoming experience for everyone involved.

    In this role, you will:

    • Act as a trusted recruitment expert and adviser to hire managers, helping them navigate complex recruitment across countries and functions.
    • Advise senior stakeholders using market intelligence and search evidence, including when to revisit requirements, broaden a talent pool, or adjust the hiring approach.
    • Partner with P&C Business Partners on recruitment strategies, workforce forecasts and recruitment data.
    • Collaborate with colleagues across P&C—including Mobility Specialists, HR administration and P&C Coordinators—to create a seamless candidate experience.
    • Use global tools, sourcing channels and direct-search techniques to identify, attract and engage qualified candidates.
    • Work with the Centre of Expertise on recruitment topics and process improvements that strengthen our visibility and help us attract diverse talent.
    • Bring diversity, equality and inclusion into every stage of the recruitment process.

    Together as a team

At IKEA, everything starts with people. Our recruitment team helps bring talented people on board so that our business—and our strong spirit of togetherness—can continue to grow. We know that different experiences, perspectives and backgrounds make us wiser and stronger. Together, we create the conditions for co-workers to develop, contribute and be themselves.

We look forward to receiving your application and will review candidates continuously, so please submit your application as soon as possible, but no later than the 10th of November 2026.

Studies show that members of underrepresented communities do not apply for jobs unless they are 100% “qualified”. If this is part of the reason you hesitate to apply, we would like to consider and give it a chance. Maybe your profile fits our needs much better than you think.
