    For this role, it's important that you have:

    • Extensive risk management knowledge and how to assess and mitigate risks in an international business environment.

    • Extensive knowledge of procedures for assessing, evaluating, and monitoring compliance with laws, regulations and guidance.

    • Proven experience in leading Safety & Security initiatives, including people safety, physical security, emergency preparedness and investigations, while building strong partnerships with relevant authorities and key stakeholders to protect people, assets and business operations.

    • Broad understanding in areas such as Risk Management, Compliance, Security and Data Privacy, Internal Control and Business Continuity Management (incl. Crisis Management) and how these areas relate to each other.

    Your responsibilities

    The purpose of this job is to lead and develop the Country Business Risk & Compliance function to ensure compliance and a risk-aware organization as well as safeguarding brand, people and assets. In Ingka/IKEA Sweden, The Business Risk and Compliance team’s core competences and scope include Safety, Security, Risk Management, Internal Controls, Compliance, Business Continuity Management (incl. Crisis Management), Information Security and Data Privacy.

    You will:

    • Be overall responsible to lead, review, support and secure the risk and compliance aspects of the businesses and operations in Ingka (Including IKEA Retail and Ingka Centers)

    • Be accountable for the creation and execution of the Country Business Risk & Compliance plan based on country risks, priorities and business needs. Ensure a solid integration and partnership with the Ingka businesses in order to grasp opportunities and enable a risk-based approach throughout the country.

    • Lead and inspire a risk and compliance performance mindset, raise risk awareness and promote a risk culture throughout the country organization, and thereby support growth and maximization of business value.

    • Lead the creation of country specific risks and compliance insights in order to identify and act on risks and business opportunities.

    • Secure that management has relevant and tactical and strategical risk and compliance insights to support business planning process and decision making.

    • Lead the Crisis Management work, secure that routines and response plans are implemented to ensure crisis preparedness throughout the country.

    • Lead implementation of standardized and automated ways of working to create efficiency by "right by design" and create alignment throughout the country.

    • Be accountable to secure effective implementation of global Business Risk & Compliance frameworks based on country risk appetite and context, business needs, local regulation and legislation.

    • Be responsible for leading and developing a high performing Business Risk & Compliance function as well as matrix of units’ Safety & Security responsible in the country, resulting in an efficient, professional and high performing organization with identified talents for the needs of today and tomorrow.

    As a Country Business Risk & Compliance Manager, you will lead a team of 9. In our team, we work closely with the Safety & Security Responsible in all units. We’re a diverse group of people who work together to protect and strengthen the IKEA and INGKA brands through our focus on risk management, compliance, business operations, health and safety & security.
