IKEA Sheffield are looking to welcome Delivery Drivers to the team.

We are expanding our home delivery operation and have exciting opportunities to join our growing team as Delivery Drivers! In this role you will be at the forefront of a new area in our business.


WHAT WE OFFER

• The Start Date of employment will be: 30th January 2025
• This role offers a starting salary of £27,554.00 per annum, based on competence & prior experience and will be discussed during interview.
• 39 Hours per week, 4 days out of 7 working 10.5 hour shifts between 6.00am – 7.00pm. working hours will support the needs of the business.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• You must have held a clean Full UK Drivers License for a minimum of 24 months.
• You are enthusiastic about delivering the best possible experience, are prepared to take responsibility and problem solve when things aren’t right.
• You are someone who takes Health & Safety seriously and are comfortable risk assessing your environment.
• You are attentive to details especially when it comes to performing checks on your vehicle.
• You are a confident and capable driver, experienced in working with GPS and maps.
• You are someone who takes responsibility and will step in to support your team when necessary to secure tasks in connection to your role.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• You will be responsible for completing vehicle safety checks and taking appropriate action.
• You will load goods into the vehicle in a safe and organised manner ensuring the delivery route matches the goods for maximum efficiency.
• You will deliver goods to customer’s homes and take them into a nominated room, carrying out risk assessments on location to prevent injury and damage to property.
• We deliver all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes you will be required to handle a range of furniture items using safe manual handling practices, employing both one and two person lifting.
• Efficiently manage the collection and processing of returned products, ensuring compliance with IKEA's returns policy.
