About the Role:

As our Accounting & Reporting Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and supporting Ingka's financial reporting, ensuring it benefits people and the planet while protecting and adding value to our assets. Your leadership will drive financial excellence, secure profitable growth, and maintain financial independence. You will oversee our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting, while supporting a strong compliance framework and effective governance. By providing top-notch Accounting & Reporting services, you will enable entrepreneurship and safeguard our people, customers, and businesses, contributing to our ongoing success.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and Develop the Team: Guide the development of the team based on global finance, organizational, and people development directions to secure the right competencies, performance, and succession.
• Financial Reporting Compliance: Ensure all financial reporting complies with INGKA Group frameworks, local GAAP, and other applicable regulations, maintaining the effectiveness of the internal control framework within financial operations.
• Achieve Global Standards: Lead the team to achieve global standard frameworks and processes, efficiently delivering the right level of quality in accounting and reporting for business and compliance needs.
• Build Strong Relationships: Establish and maintain strong business relationships with relevant external stakeholders and act as a trustful and professional business partner with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization to support reaching overall goals and objectives.
• Minimize Deviations: Collaborate with Group Financial Controlling and the Country organization to minimize deviations from standard global frameworks for local business needs and compliance reasons, ensuring effective ways of working.
• Support Global Projects: Participate in global projects and support local execution to simplify, harmonize, and automate financial operations and reporting.
• Contribute to Business Planning: Provide ideas and insight into the business planning process from country, company, department, and matrix perspectives, using this as a basis for the team action plan.
• Ensure Legal and Tax Compliance: Work closely with Legal and Tax teams to ensure compliance with legal and tax requirements and enable an efficient and effective external audit process.
• Foster Cross-Organizational Connections: Maintain connections within and between core areas, business owners, group functions, and process teams within the Ingka Group.
• Promote Business Growth: Ensure cross-organizational readiness and continued business growth in terms of competence, performance, and succession through an end-to-end approach.
• Ensure Safety: Ensure a safe environment for co-workers and external consultants and contractors in accordance with Ingka policies.

What you'll be doing day to day

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, and 8-12 years of increasingly responsible accounting and/or auditing experience in a similar or larger organization. You should have at least 5 years of managerial or team lead experience, demonstrating your ability to lead and develop a team effectively. Experience in multicultural and multinational organizations is a plus.

You must have an excellent knowledge of financial measurement, processing, and communication, including the ability to document the organization’s resource management. Familiarity with accounting and financial reporting rules, standards, and manuals, as well as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), is crucial.

You should be experienced in using automated accounting systems and demonstrate a wide variety of high-level accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting skills. You should have an advanced ability to assess, analyze, and mitigate risks in a business environment, alongside strong planning skills to measure financial records in compliance with internal and external regulations, ensuring value for money in reaching business objectives and long-term profitable growth.

Understanding data science, new technologies, and analytics, and their application in a business context, is important. Knowledge of how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders is beneficial. Familiarity with project management processes, including methods and tools, and an understanding of customer needs, demands, and expectations in the market, will set you apart.

Proficiency in MS Office skills and strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential.
