Interior Designer (IKEA for Business), IKEA Cheras (Full-Time)

• To support IKEA for Business in providing interior decoration proposals for customers across all focus areas, with the aim of maximizing IKEA for Business sales by offering attractive and comprehensive interior design solutions that reflect IKEA’s range and profile.
• Ensure that all interior design inquiries are correctly interpreted and understood, and that the proposals given to customers are relevant and meet general expectations.
• Support the Sales team in producing and presenting customized interior design solutions for larger project customers.
• In support of the store sales functions, review and clarify design requests from customers.
• Use home furnishing expertise to create IKEA furnishing solutions in design proposals for business customers.
• Support the IKEA for Business sales team in preparing and conducting presentations for larger customers.
• Ensure that the company’s competitive advantage in Sustainability is incorporated into the general design proposals, supporting the overall image of IKEA for Business.

Qualifications

• Strong conceptual and creative understanding of the IKEA range, with the ability to combine products into coherent offers and communicate the IKEA concept to customers.
• Experience working in a customer and commercial oriented business.
• Experience actively selling by understanding customers and their needs.
• Adaptable and highly flexible, with the ability to adjust to evolving circumstances.
• Exceptional aptitude for working collaboratively in a team, making quick decisions, and taking proactive initiatives with a high sense of urgency.
• Efficient at prioritizing and organizing work to make the best use of available time.
• Ability to multitask and willingness to work on weekends, shift hours, and public holidays.
• Flexible to be based at IKEA Cheras and Damansara.

Capabilities:

• Proficient in using design tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Enscape, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trustful relationships.
• Possess a strong sense of responsibility, consistently ensuring tasks are completed with accountability and attention to detail.
• Exceptional ability to present and effectively sell design solutions that meet customers' needs and expectations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
