Who you are

Do you love to use your physicality in your work? If so, you are a good match as a logistics co-worker for our picking and delivery department at IKEA. We work in the part of the warehouse that is not open for customers, but also in the rest of the department store, where you would be available to customers in case of questions. It is important you thrive in a fast-paced environment with a lot of changes.

To be successful in this job, you:
• Are in good physical shape and can handle hard manual labor
• Are motivated by prioritizing and organizing your own work to make efficient use of time
• Are good at creating overview and have attention to detail and structure
• Have good self-discipline and likes routine tasks

Your responsibilities

Your primary task will be picking customer orders using manual labor and pallet lifter. Therefore, it is not unlikely you will pack and handle several tons of goods every day and walk a lot of steps. When orders are being expedited online or in the store, your job is to find and pack the goods for the customers, and secure that the right goods are packed as fast as possible and without any damages and flaws. You primarily work independently, but with colleagues close by as you would have to go around the entire warehouse when picking goods.

You task will be:
• Picking and packing orders from our online customers
• Working together and following up with colleagues from other logistics departments as well as customer service and sales

Our team within IKEA

Here you will become part of an international team of both fulltime and part-time employees that work towards a common goal. We secure efficient logistics in the store and provide good customer service, even though we have limited customer contact. We work closely together with all departments, and consequently you gain experience in collaborating with many different types of people. We work in a fast-paced environment, but always support each other and work as a team.
