What you'll be doing day to day
• Building furniture for displays, repairs and ensuring it is accurately presented. (ex. Wardrobe/closets, TV systems, storage units, cabinets, drawers, etc.)
• Assembling display products for the introduction of new products.
• Perform weekly maintenance checks on displays for quality, appearance, function and safety.
• Assisting customers and providing advice on the best solutions for their homes.
• Keeping your sales floor tidy, priced and fully stocked to give customers a positive shopping experience.
• Acting as an expert and consultant on a broad range of home furnishing solutions, products and services to inspire and inform customers.
• Guiding customers toward top-selling and prioritized products.

JOB TYPE – Permanent, Part-time

HOURS – 20-34 hours per week. Must have complete open working availability from Monday through Saturday between the hours of 8:00AM to 10:30PM.

The hourly pay range for this role is $19.14 - $27.32.

QUALIFICATIONS
* 2-3 years of experience in retail furniture building/assembly, or knowledge of how to build quality and complex IKEA furniture (ex. Wardrobe/closets, TV systems, storage units, cabinets, drawers, etc.)
* Must be able/comfortable to use power tools to assemble furniture and displays
* Must be able to lift, push, pull heavy items up to 50-75lbs. or more while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
* Knowledge of waste management and sustainability principles.
* Experience working in a customer and commercial-oriented business.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
