    About Ikano Centres

Our portfolio of shopping centres are the hearts and hubs of our communities, creating a better everyday life for the 100 million visitors who visit us every year.

Together with our IKEA stores, we create meeting places for friends and families to have a safe and fun day out. We also develop land and invest in residential, office and other types of real estate to create vibrant destinations where people can live, work and play. With strong ambitions to grow our portfolio, we currently operate five meeting places in Malaysia and Thailand. These include IPC and MyTOWN in Kuala Lumpur, Toppen in Johor Bahru, the first phase of Klippa in Batu Kawan, and Megabangna in Bangkok. We are part of Ikano Retail, one of 12 IKEA franchisees and the only one owned by the family of Ingvar Kamprad, who founded IKEA in 1943. • Coach managers on performance, feedback and career conversations, embedding our leadership expectations in everyday ways of working.
    • Lead recruitment, onboarding and employer branding to attract the right talent and create a positive co-worker experience.
    • Strengthen engagement, inclusion and wellbeing, turning people data and co-worker feedback into meaningful action.
    • Oversee HR operations, payroll validation, people cost planning and office administration, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery.
    • Manage grievances, misconduct investigations, disciplinary matters and domestic inquiries, ensuring fair processes and compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
    • Contribute to people initiatives across Ikano Centres, particularly in learning, talent management and leadership development, in partnership with the Ikano Centres HR Manager and HR community.

    Qualification
    • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organisational Development or a related discipline.
    • At least five years of progressive HR experience, including business partnering, with strong hands-on experience in learning and talent management.
    • Experience identifying development needs, designing and facilitating learning programmes, and evaluating their impact.
    • Practical experience in talent reviews, succession planning and individual development planning.
    • Strong employee relations experience in grievances, investigations, disciplinary cases and domestic inquiries, with sound judgement in advising managers.
    • Sound knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation, performance management, recruitment and HR operations. Shopping centre or retail experience is an advantage.
    • Strong coaching, facilitation and stakeholder skills, good written and spoken English, and the ability to influence leaders and use people insights in decision-making.
