    • No matter where you've gained your experience, if you're passionate about sustainability, enjoy solving problems, and take pride in finding practical solutions, we'd love to hear from you.

We encourage applications from people with experience in retail, customer service, warehousing, logistics, inventory management, merchandising, product quality, returns, refurbishment, repair, or other operational environments.

Most importantly, we're looking for people who are curious, adaptable, and motivated to help give products a second life while creating a great experience for our customers. Experience in product recovery or circularity is a bonus, but not essential. We'll provide the support and training to help you succeed.

    Our team within IKEA

At IKEA, we believe products deserve more than one life. As a Product Quality & Recovery Specialist, you'll help turn this vision into reality by recovering, repackaging, and reselling products that might otherwise go to waste. Working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you'll contribute to quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction while helping us create a better everyday life for the many people.

    About this work area

As Product Quality & Recovery Specialist your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    • Ensure the AS-IS shop floor, in-store and online platform is merchandised, priced and promoted effectively to enhance customer experience and drive optimal sales.
    • Assess and determine the most effective recovery pathway for products, making informed decisions on whether items should be returned to the shop floor, repaired or repackaged, or sold through online channels to maximise customer value and commercial performance.
    • Monitor sales performance and identify growth opportunities, using data, customer insights and proven solutions to continuously improve results and align actions with IKEA’s sustainability and circularity commitments.
    • Work closely with stakeholders to improve product flow and communication, while training co-workers in recovery processes, tools and best practices.
    • Contribute to product safety, quality and customer satisfaction by taking a lead in daily tasks, following SOPs and collaborating effectively within the Product Quality & Recovery team.
    • Take action to improve the product recovery department through repackaging, spare part management, assembly, and active selling both online and offline channels.

As Product Quality & Recovery Specialist you are:
    • Able to demonstrate a natural ability to lead through influence, guiding and supporting co-workers to achieve shared goals and deliver business outcomes.
    • Genuine passion for the IKEA product range and desire to find ways to maximise product value while reducing waste.
    • Commercially minded, with an ability to identify opportunities that maximise sales, productivity and customer value.
    • Able to make confident, data-informed decisions that balance customer needs, operational priorities and commercial outcomes.
    • Inspired to challenge and influence ways of working, fostering collaboration and delivering positive change across the business.
    • A collaborative team player who enjoys working with others to achieve shared goals.
    • Comfortable working in a physically active environment and willingness to lead by example and actively support the team.

Contract type: Permanent Full Time, 76hrs/fortnight
