Supply Chain Operations is a global business unit within IKEA Supply and with its more than 800 co-workers it connects our customers with IKEA products in a simple, affordable, and sustainable way. We deliver excellent transport and logistic solutions today, tomorrow and over time by optimising replenishment solutions, managing the goods flow, sourcing and developing transport and logistics capacities and leading and securing supply quality.

In Category Distribution, we are responsible for securing handling & storing capacities for IKEA products. We do this by establishing and managing relationships with distribution centers around the world. Our ~40 coworkers work closely with Service Providers, Retailers, Wholesaler, and other stakeholders across the IKEA value chain.

Scope of Work:

• Assisting with contractor's safety training development and delivery
• Updating the safety manuals and procedures
• Supporting with accident/incident investigation follow-ups
• Managing safety equipment inventory and inspection records
• Developing safety communication materials.
• Assisting in security incident report documentation.
• Collecting data for energy consumption and waste generation
• Researching sustainable practices (like recycling or renewable energy options for the DC)
• Supporting efforts to reduce our carbon footprint
• Developing communication around our "Clean" and "Fair" environmental goals.
• Assist in administration (filling, recording, meeting coordination, and notes taking)
• (The scope of works will depends on the hiring month)

Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or Environmental or any related qualifications

Expected Learning Outcome

1. Safety and Documentation Skills - Understand and implement safety standards related to workplace, manage documentation for safety and security incidents.
2. Equipment and Inventory Management - Efficiently manage safety equipment and inspection records.
3. Communication and Training - Develop compelling safety and environmental communication materials, effectively observe the training process for staff and contractors.
4. Data Collection and Sustainability Initiatives - Collect and analyze data on energy and waste, research and propose sustainability and carbon footprint reduction strategies.
5. Administrative Competence - Perform administrative duties efficiently, including records maintenance and meeting coordination.

The job location is at Pulau Indah, Port Klang, Malaysia.
