Hej! Are you ready to help shape the future with smart, innovative solutions?
At IKEA, you can feel at home while making a global impact. We’re a place where everyone is welcome, encouraged to explore new tech, try new ideas, and grow from mistakes. As our Platform Manager for Franchise and Data Privacy, you’ll help build the digital foundation that keeps IKEA trustworthy, resilient and ready for the future.
We are on a journey to transform the Technology and Platform organisation to build a modern and scalable technology foundation for Inter IKEA. To make this shift possible, we need an organisation that is fully aligned with our Operating Model: one that works with a strong product‑ and platform‑ setup and mindset and is ready to take full accountability from strategy to delivery.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Franchise & Data Privacy Manager to strengthen digital risk, security and privacy across IKEA. In this role, you’ll help embed privacy‑by‑design into our product and platform development, support global regulatory compliance, and raise privacy maturity across the IKEA value chain, including franchisees and digital partners.
You’ll work closely with digital product, platform and business teams to enable core privacy capabilities such as data classification, minimisation, consent, retention and deletion, and data subject rights, while driving risk assessments, regulatory readiness and consistent privacy safeguards. A key part of the role is supporting our franchise network by ensuring aligned privacy and security practices, coordinating compliance activities, and protecting the digital assets that enable our Retail Concept.
More specifically, in this role you will:
- Lead and grow a high‑performing team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Translate privacy regulations into clear platform requirements and privacy‑by‑design controls.
- Develop and continuously improve the Privacy Platform, ensuring performance, scalability, and modernisation.
- Operate core privacy services such as consent management, data classification, retention & deletion, orchestration, and DPIA workflows.
- Drive privacy risk assessments and regulatory readiness activities.
- Support global franchise partners in adopting consistent privacy and security standards.
- Define KPIs/OKRs to measure platform performance, adoption and impact.
- Manage budget, platform roadmap, lifecycle management and supplier governance.
- Strengthen privacy, maturity, awareness and incident readiness across the IKEA network.
About You
You are a motivated and collaborative leader who brings people together, builds trust, and inspires movement in a shared direction. Curious and adaptable, you create strong relationships, navigate uncertainty with confidence, and enable teams to grow while helping IKEA move forward.
We expect you to bring:
- Strong leadership skills and experience developing teams.
- Deep expertise in privacy, information security and digital risk frameworks (e.g., GDPR, NIST, ISO/IEC 27001), including awareness of PETs or responsible AI principles.
- Ability to translate regulations and policies into clear, actionable platform requirements, controls and architectural guardrails.
- Solid understanding of digital platforms and modern technology environments (cloud, hybrid, on‑prem), including DevOps, automation and platform lifecycle practices.
- Experience defining and using KPIs, OKRs and delivery metrics to drive value, outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Strong stakeholder‑management and collaboration skills to align ways of working with franchisees, suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
- A structured, analytical and proactive mindset - able to assess risks, manage incidents and communicate complex topics clearly.
- Experience in platform ownership and governance - including strategy, roadmap, lifecycle management, as well as budget responsibility and supplier/contract management.
- Above all, to thrive at IKEA, you should lead our values and enjoy working in a culture built on togetherness, simplicity, cost-consciousness and a drive to always find better ways.
