  • Company description

The IKEA vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people. We do this by offering a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible can afford them. We operate in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand – and have an ambitious expansion plan to bring a little bit of Sweden to new markets in the region. We are part of the Ikano Group of companies and the only IKEA franchisee owned by the Kamprad family that founded IKEA.

We also develop, own and operate Shopping Centres that are anchored by IKEA and create walkable communities by including residential, office and other types of real estate in our development plans.

We work towards making sustainability a natural part of our everyday work. We are active in our communities, driving and supporting social initiatives that benefit children, women and the environment.

    Job description

We are looking for an energetic, creatively driven and hands-on Content Specialist who knows how to turn ideas into compelling stories across social, digital and other brand channels. Someone who is curious, culturally tuned in, confident behind the camera and in the edit suite, and passionate about home furnishing and the IKEA brand. From playful trend-led content and unexpected product stories to influencer collaborations, major campaigns and in-store activations, you’ll help bring the IKEA brand to life through strong copy, photography and video—with wit, warmth and a little twinkle in the eye.

    • Work closely with Marketing colleagues (including Social Media Manager) to plan and execute content that supports IKEA Singapore's communication and business priorities.
    • Contribute ideas and support the sourcing, adaptation, hands-on production and delivery of engaging content, including copy, stills, videos and graphics, across social, digital and other relevant brand channels.
    • Plan and execute photography and video shoots, including concept development, storyboarding, shot planning, audio capture and on-location production.
    • Help turn products, offers, campaigns, trends and everyday moments into relevant stories.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Web, Food, Communications) to gather information, product lists and align requirements to ensure campaign readiness and content accuracy.
    • Coordinate with agencies, influencers, creators and vendors on content development, production and publishing matters, while overseeing timelines, deliverables and administrative matters.
    • Build and nurture relationships with influencers, content creators and influencer agencies to amplify brand narratives and extend reach.
    • Support social media listening and community management across IKEA Singapore's owned channels.
    • Monitor content performance, identify useful learnings and contribute to post-campaign reports, internal updates and performance trackers.
    • Support the team with purchase orders, agency billings and other administrative requirements that keep the work moving smoothly.

    Qualification
    • At least 3-4 years of experience managing, producing & publishing content across social channels.
    • Strong understanding of social platforms including its algorithms, publishing & advertising capabilities.
    • Proficient in software/tools for content creation, video editing and animation (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Premiere, CapCut).
    • Hands-on experience with AI tools for content production will be an added advantage.
    • Creative copywriting or journalistic experience with an ability to develop engaging content.
    • Hands-on experience planning and executing photography and video shoots for campaigns, products, events or social-first content.
    • High energy, proactive, highly responsible and able to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and manage deliverables & timelines well.
    • Analytical skills to track, measure, and improve performance based on data and learnings.
    • Experience working with creative advertising/media agencies.
    • Able to work independently on shoots and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, creators, agencies and vendors.
    • Have a passion for home furnishing and the IKEA brand, share the IKEA values, tone of voice and vision and develop deep understanding of customer needs and living situations to craft impactful content.
