Job description
Leads and develops the Unit Management Team to achieve IKEA goals and standards, delivering an efficient and profitable operation.
Secure the overall operation of all market central fulfillment priorities including an efficient goods flow process to replenish all customer meeting points and an excellent customer service fulfillment experience. To drive an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and empowered.
- Lead the Market Fulfilment Unit (MFU) goods flow team to secure the highest goods availability for customers at all times and at the lowest possible cost.
- Ensure the agreed logistics actions from the store business plan are implemented in the goods flow process.
- Ensure that the delivery shipments are staged and loaded as per agreed working methods and routines.
- Contribute with relevant goods flow input and feedback to the store business plan and logistics action plan.
- Allocate and create sales space for all External Range articles and ensure they are picked and assigned for home delivery racking.
- Efficient planning of the flow of goods within the external Market Fulfilment Unit (MFU); from goods receiving to sales locations for replenishment and to ensure availability of sufficient stock to meet the needs of the customer.
- Identify, recruit and develop the many talents in the goods flow team to secure succession planning.
- Live the IKEA values and nurture a strong and thriving IKEA culture that inspires colleagues to reach extraordinary achievements in the store and especially in the goods flow team.
- Ensure that the goods flow team works in compliance with the IKEA code of conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation relating to health, safety and security and the environment.
- Contribute to positioning IKEA retailers and the IKEA Brand as responsible partners in lowering environmental impact by taking relevant actions that contribute to achieving long-term profitability in a sustainable and environmental way.
- To notify security breaches to concerned authority and manager.
- Be aware of all security related emergency response and follow the policy and procedures.
- Adhere to IKEA supply chain and security policy, and report to concern manager in case of any identified security breaches.
- Be actively engage with, and share the responsibility in, the delivery of the IKEA sustainability strategy
- Secure growth, low cost and sustainable profitability in accordance with our overall purpose, retail direction and our financial strategy.
- Be active member in the country/extended management team
- Ensure high quality execution of all People processes securing performing, competent and engaged coworkers.
- Embrace the digital transformation in the market and be a digital ambassador in the function.
- Secure interdependence and cooperation with all relevant functions and stakeholders, to secure integration and common focus.
Qualification
- Experience of working in a retail and/or logistics role, with previous experience of leading others.
- Ability of setting and implementing action plans and providing clear direction and following up goals. Show potential to apply tactical and operational thinking.
- Excellent numerical skills.
- Experience of leading and managing a team preferably gained in retailing and/or logistics.
