  • What you'll need to have

    • A University degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Finance with 5 years of related experience, or minimum 9 years of related field experience.
    • Proven experience in financial reporting and accounting operations, with strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver accurate results in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching and supporting teams with diverse levels of experience and professional development needs.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and support peak reporting periods that may require occasional flexible hours.
    • Experience within a retail accounting environment is highly preferred; exposure to commercial assets, multi-entity operations, and GAAP-compliant reporting is considered an asset.
    • Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA or similar platforms. Accounting designation would be an asset, but equivalent experience and a proven track record of success in a similar leadership role will be equally valued.

    A day in your life with us

    • ​​Provide financial reporting in compliance with Ingka Group frameworks, applicable GAAP and relevant local regulations and secure an effective internal controls framework.
    • ​Build and maintain relationships with shared service organisation and other key stakeholders to support achievement of overall business goals and objectives. Ensuring collaboration all parties is meeting the set goals and KPIs, SLAs, and OLAs.
    • Collaborate in global projects and local execution and contribute to the business planning process.
    • Coach, lead, motivate and develop a team of co-workers, establishing team and individual plans and goals, monitoring performance and implementing suggested improvements.

    The starting rate/ salary for this position ranges from 108,487 CAD to 149,170 CAD and will be based on relevant work experience.
