    • What you need to know

    We are looking for a highly skilled SAP BTP SME to design, develop, and deliver cloud-native applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building enterprise applications using SAP BTP services, developing APIs and CAP-based backend services, integrating SAP and non-SAP systems, and delivering modern web and mobile-enabled experiences.

    The role requires close collaboration with solution architect, product owners, integration specialists, and cloud platform teams to build scalable solutions that leverage SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, Microsoft Azure, and enterprise APIs.

    What you'll need to have

    8+ years of experience in application development, with at least 4+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).

    Strong expertise in SAP CAP, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, OData Services, SAP Business Application Studio, and Cloud Foundry.

    Proven experience in developing and deploying SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.

    Hands-on experience with SAP HTML5 Application Repository, SAP Destination Service, and connectivity services.

    Strong understanding of API-led and microservices-based architecture principles.

    Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile delivery methodologies.

    Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

    Experience with SAP Integration Suite, including iFlows, API Management, and REST/SOAP integrations.

    Familiarity with PostgreSQL, HANA Cloud or other enterprise-grade databases.

    Knowledge of SAP Build Code, SAP Build Process Automation, SAP Build Work Zone, and application tile configuration.

    Understanding of SAP Joule and AI-powered business applications.

    Experience integrating SAP solutions with Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms.

    Exposure to modern frontend frameworks such as React.js is an added advantage.

    Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across global teams.

    Key Responsibilities:


    Develop and enhance cloud-native applications on SAP BTP.

    Support the other engineering team members to strengthen their BTP knowledge

    • Build backend services using:

    SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model)

    Node.js

    OData Services

    REST APIs

    • Develop responsive user interfaces using:

    SAP UI5/Fiori

    SAP Build Code

    React.js (preferred)

    • Deploy and manage applications in SAP BTP Cloud Foundry environment.

    • Design and implement integrations using SAP Integration Suite and external APIs.

    • Develop secure applications leveraging:

    SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS)

    XSUAA

    Microsoft Entra ID

    OAuth 2.0 / SAML

    • Configure and consume SAP Destination Services for connectivity to SAP and non-SAP systems.

    • Integrate applications with Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and third-party SaaS solutions.

    • Build notification, workflow, and automation capabilities using SAP BTP services.

    • Work with PostgreSQL, Object Store, and cloud storage services for data persistence.

    • Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and DevOps activities.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and performance issues.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional SAP teams including Functional, Security, Basis, and Integration teams

    You will work in Group Function Digital Area. The Digital Area – Group Functions is built to strengthen digital partnership and delivery across all Group Functions and Global Business Operations (GBO). We develop and deliver digital capabilities across key areas such as Finance, People & Culture, Procurement, Legal, Business Risk & Compliance, Communications, Real Estate, and Business Steering across Ingka's global organization.

    You will be part of Group Digital and work closely with Business Risk & Compliance, Internal Audit, Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, SAP Platform teams, Digital Product & Engineering teams, and business stakeholders across global functions. Together, we design, implement, and continuously improve governance, risk, and compliance capabilities that help safeguard critical business processes and support regulatory and internal control requirements.

    As an SAP BTP SME within the BR&C area, you will play a key role in shaping and advancing the organization's compliance and risk management technology landscape. You will leverage SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services and capabilities to design, integrate, and enhance digital solutions that support governance, risk, and compliance processes. Working across business and technology teams, you will help drive innovation through automation, analytics, integration, and modern cloud-native architectures, ensuring BR&C solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards and strategic business objectives.
