JOB TYPE – Permanent, Part-time, Hourly Associate, ON SITE!!
2-5 year of experience in a high-volume customer facing environment

This position will be focused on safety. Excellent written and oral communication skills. coaching and training the team. lots of reporting via safety assessments per month. investigations, lots of walking and securing the perimeter and patrolling.


HOURS – From 20-34 hours per week
SHIFT – Seeking work schedule availability open on all days including Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday as a minimum requirement. The operations generally range between the window of 6am to 11pm, and the work schedules are published three weeks in advance. The schedules change every week based on the needs of the business.

PAY – The starting rate/salary for this position ranges from $17.42 - 24 and will be based on IKEA’s relevant work experience and other factors.

• 1 year work experience
• Retail experience in safety, security, or loss prevention preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Candidates in Oregon, New York, and St. Louis, MO, must be eligible to obtain a security guard license as required by applicable local law. Obtaining the security guard license is a required condition of employment for this role.

What you'll be doing day to day

• Ensures the safety and security of the people and property per local regulations
• Completes safety, security, and compliance audits and trainings
• Maintains critical safety equipment such as alarms, radios, and security systems
• Reports and follows up on incidents that occur
• Responds to and coordinates emergency situations in work areas such as burglar alarms, fire alarms, active shooter and other emergency events
