You will work closely with the management team to create a culture of trust, open communication, and co-worker engagement. You will lead the development of country-specific HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local employment laws. Additionally, you will foster a collaborative environment, strengthen relations with co-workers, and manage labour issues proactively to protect IKEA as an employer.

Your responsibilities

Policy Implementation: Ensure that global people policies and standards (e.g., Code of Conduct, co-worker relations principles) are fully supported by the management team and consistently implemented across the country.

Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain an open dialogue with co-workers, their associations, and other organizations. Contribute to successful negotiations with workers' councils/labour unions.

HR Policy Development: Lead the development, implementation, and follow-up of country-specific HR policies and procedures in line with local employment law compliance.

Leadership Development: Provide expertise in leadership development related to co-worker relations, behaviours, and trust throughout the organization.

I Share Process (Co-Worker Feedback Process): Lead the "I Share" (Co-worker feedback) process at the country level to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.

Problem Resolution: Develop and manage the problem resolution process on a country level, ensuring consistent execution, follow-up, and root cause analysis.

Labour Issue Management: Identify, evaluate, and monitor internal and external labour issues that could create significant risks for IKEA, and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.

Compliance Monitoring: Lead and follow up on IKEA’s employment standards and compliance across all units in the country.

Health and Wellbeing Framework: Lead and develop the country-specific health and wellbeing framework.

Together as a team

IKEA is all about people, and our team make sure to bring the best people on board to keep our strong spirit of togetherness. We believe that different experiences and backgrounds collectively make us wiser and stronger, and we ensure that our co-workers bloom into their best selves as they contribute to our business.
