As a Daily Service Leader, you secure and contribute to a positive and excellent guest experience by serving high quality food and beverages. The role is equivalent to a Head Waiter with the responsibility of securing the daily operations in our restaurants. This means serving and preparing our food and beverage offer according to set routines and ways of working with high quality. You are also expected to be a strong contributor in the development of existing routines and ways of working setting new ones. You coach your colleagues in accordance and ensure all co-workers are up to date on ways of working, rules and regulations within food and beverages.

Your job specific responsibilities will include:

• Making sure that the food or service unit is spotless and ready for new guest or visitors everyday and with every shift.
• Working together with both your colleagues, managers and other departments in order to give out visitors the best experience with a high degree of collaboration with all teams.
• Ensure that all tasks are being performed at the right time and place and that we reach our daily goals.
• Greeting our guests, serving and presenting food and beverages and serving both breakfast, lunch or dinner.
•  Handling and maintaining the cashier-systems.
• Ensure food safety in collaboration with your colleagues in the food production team.
• Contribute to the development of the range and supporting our sustainability agenda.

We expect you to have extensive experience and knowledge from the restaurant and/or service industry where you have had the responsibility for daily operations. You are used to taking responsibility for what needs to be done and are also able to coach and lead your colleagues in taking their responsibility for their tasks and ensuring an excellent guest experience.

Specific requirements:

• At least 5 years of professional experience from working in a restaurant or equivalent. 
• Strong in communication skills and able to present the range of food and beverages effortlessly.
• Has the ability to relate the history of IKEA and the range that we have.
• Leading by example and having a track record of being able to successfully coach your colleagues.
• Working experience of leading people indirectly.
• Working experience with different cashier and payment systems.
• Dynamic approach to be flexible and to see what needs to be done and the ability to resolve issues on the spot.
• Ready to take on new tasks and responsibilities in a fluctuating environment.
• Good communication skills in English & Swedish, both spoken and written.

We now offer 2 full time, permanent positions located at Älmhult, Sweden that will be part of our Food Service team.

The working hours will be in shift role- schedules, early mornings, daytime, evenings and weekends.              

You need to hold a Swedish work permit.
