    We at IKEA’s Digital Global organisation are looking for a Platform Subdomain Manager to join us in developing ways for IKEA to stay relevant for our customers and work in closer partnership with our stakeholders. The Platform Subdomain Manager is a key leadership role, responsible for leading a subdomain within a platform—combining strategic leadership, people leadership, and deep techno-functional expertise to drive meaningful outcomes in a complex ecosystem.
    You bring strong communication skills both verbal, written and in presentations. You are able to lead through others, build trust, and create an environment where people grow and perform at their best. You can also navigate complexity, make fact-based decisions, and maintain alignment across stakeholders, teams, and leadership. Furthermore, you take a thoughtful and practical approach to solving problems, enabling the organization to move faster and work smarter.
    You are comfortable working with senior business and digital stakeholders and know how to balance strategic direction with operational excellence. Above all, we believe you take ownership, show initiative, use good judgment, and stay driven to deliver meaningful outcomes that unlock business value—always guided by IKEA culture and values.

    Furthermore we believe that you bring:
    • Strong expertise within a SAP technology platform and procurement domains
    • Proven experience in leading leaders and building high-performing, collaborative teams
    • Deep understanding of business processes and how to translate them into scalable technology solutions
    • Experience from working in complex ecosystems with senior stakeholders across business and IT
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • Extensive experience (15+ years) in SAP/ERP ecosystems, ideally within Finance, Procurement, and Tax
    • Proven leadership experience (5–7+ years) in senior roles managing large teams and deliveries
    • Deep expertise in SAP solutions such as VIM, MM, Ariba
    • Strong understanding of retail business processes and how technology enables efficiency and growth
    • Experience working with agile and modern delivery methodologies within platform/product organizations
    • A passion for technology, people, and continuous improvement
    • As a manager of managers this role needs strong people leadership skills

    A day in your life with us

    As the Platform Subdomain Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development, evolution, and performance of your platform subdomain, ensuring alignment with business needs, technology strategy, and future growth.
    You will combine strategic leadership with operational excellence, leading leaders and teams to deliver outcomes that matter. You will also build strong partnerships across digital domains and business functions, translating business challenges into actionable strategies and solutions.
    This role will lead managers and teams within the platform subdomain, collaborating across Digital and Business Functions to ensure full delivery of solutions, aligned to strategic goals. This includes roadmap ownership, execution, stakeholder alignment, and driving outcomes by managing risks, dependencies, and continuous improvements.
    You take an agile, practical approach to leadership and delivery while staying focused on business value and people development. In all you do you will be leading by example in line with IKEA values and leadership principles.

    To be concrete you will:
    • Lead managers within your subdomain with overall accountability for delivery, performance, and outcomes, while coaching and developing high-performing teams and leaders
    • Define and drive the strategic direction and roadmap for SAP applications within Procurement and Invoice-to-Pay (including relevant non-SAP applications), ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term value
    • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Tax, and IT, translating business needs into scalable solutions and ensuring alignment across teams, domains, and dependencies
    • Secure implementation, optimization, and lifecycle management of platform solutions, including vendor partnerships, compliance, and effective data and system flows
    • Drive change, continuous improvement, and innovation with a strong problem-solving mindset, balancing strategic priorities with operational execution
    • Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and togetherness—empowering teams, guiding decisions by business value, and building an environment where people grow and succeed together
