    Additional information:

    This role is ​Permanent Full time 76 hrs/fortnight, 50hrs/fortnight​

    As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts, latest finish at 10pm. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).

    About this work area

    As ​Sales Co-worker​ your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    Manual handling of heavy goods, including lifting, lowering, and carrying flat-pack boxes with an average weight of approximately 25 kg, individual items weighing up to 40 kg, always following IKEA safe manual handling guidelines.

    Push and pull heavy customer and stock trolleys, and handling equipment, often with total loads exceeding 100 kg, across Self Serve warehouse and customer areas in a safe and controlled manner.

    Actively support customers in Self Serve, helping them locate products, understand range options, and confidently select items that meet their needs.

    Assist customers with heavy items, including safe placement onto trolleys.

    Maintain safe, accessible, and well-organised Self Serve areas, ensuring aisles, walkways, and emergency exits are clear, compliant, and customer-friendly at all times.

    Work effectively in warm and physically demanding environments, maintaining focus on safety, availability, and customer interaction during peak trading periods.



    As ​Sales Co-worker​ you are or have:

    Excellent communication skills to support clear coordination, efficient task management, and positive customer interaction.

    Highly active and physically capable, able to stand for up to 10 hours per shift and walk approximately 15,000 steps per day in a demanding retail environment.

    High stamina and resilience, with the ability to perform consistently in a fast-paced, high-pressure Self Serve setting.

    Fully flexible and available across trading hours, including weekends and peak commercial periods.
