The Renewable Energy Portfolio is part of Ingka Investments, one of the core areas within the Ingka Group—a major franchisee of the IKEA brand, operating nearly 400 IKEA stores across 32 countries. Ingka Investments strategically funds renewable energy projects to help the Ingka Group meet its ambitious sustainability objectives. The Renewable Energy team within the portfolio oversees a €7.5 billion investment framework, managing 50+ wind farms and 20+ solar farms across 20 countries. In line with Ingka Group’s vision, the portfolio aims to triple its electricity generation capacity by 2030.

The Business Solutions team leads the digital strategy for Ingka Investments’ Renewable Energy Portfolio by developing and managing scalable, secure IT solutions and digital infrastructure that support Ingka Renewables toward its 2030 objectives. Our team of experts in Microsoft architecture, development, and infrastructure is responsible for the portfolio’s dedicated environment on Microsoft Azure, OԔce365, PowerPlatform, and Dynamics. These platforms enable data centralization, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance while supporting the portfolio's goals of increasing electricity production, reducing operational costs, and boosting energy sale revenue. Collaborating closely with external partners, including Microsoft architects and tech startups, we continually enhance our systems to meet performance and innovation standards.

As a Solutions Architect Leader, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, designing, and implementing the data landscape for solutions within the Renewables Portfolio. These solutions include portfolio monitoring and reporting, 24x7 production and consumption matching, ancillary services, and more. This data environment is hosted on Microsoft Azure Cloud and is critical to ensuring solutions align with business objectives while meeting performance, security, scalability, and cost-eԔciency requirements.

Your expertise spans several areas within the data engineering domain, including a deep understanding of data modeling, ELT/ETL processes, data lakes, pipeline orchestration, data quality and observability, as well as proԒciency in DevOps, DataOps, and CI/CD practices. Strong skills in Python, API Integration, and extensive experience with Azure Data Services are essential, including but not limited to Azure Synapse Analytics, Stream Analytics, Event Hub, Event Grid, Azure Functions, SQL, and other related Azure services.

What you'll be doing day to day
Within the Ingka Renewables Business Solutions Team, you’ll be a part of the Solutions Design and Infrastructure Team, where you will be collaborating with Solution Architects with Dynamics 365, Power platform, and Azure Infrastructure.

* Take responsibility for the building, operation and maintenance of data platforms that are cost-effective and robust according to best practices by continually learning from and benchmarking against industry standards

* Produce all required design speciԒcations and lead data engineers in the implementation of appropriate data models, schemas and their associated processing and transformation pipelines.

* Implement data validation checks and data quality dashboards, to ensure a high degree of trust in the data residing in the systems, as well as in the decisions supported by insights extracted from it.

* Act as the main point of contact to resolve data architecture issues

* Engage in coaching and mentoring of other team members to secure transfer of competence and a high-performing team

* connect with the other ingka investments digital teams to align our data architecture strategies.
