IKEA Copenhagen aims not only be a destination for home furnishing inspiration, but also to be a food destination for the many Copenhageners. We are looking for you who would love to take part in creating fast, easy, and convenient access to Food in the city center of Copenhagen and offer a break from our customers' shopping experience in the restaurant, a “on-the-go" coffee on the way to work, or a Swedish FIKA in the café. We also ensure that our colleagues can eat during their working day in our staff canteen.

To be successful in this job, you:

• Are experienced from restaurant-, fast food and/or retail business
• Have a customer focus with a positive mindset in a fast-paced environment
• Are comfortable to work independently as well as within a team
• Take pride in prioritizing assignments to make the best use of time
• Can communicate in English and in basic Danish

Hvad du skal lave – dag for dag

As an IKEA FOOD co-worker, you will experience a developing work environment in our restaurant areas divided into kitchen, dishwashing, serving and cashline. We also have an IKEA Bistro, a Swedish Food Market, a Swedish café and of course our staff canteen. In all areas, we work as a team to obtain a great experience for our customers and colleagues.

Among other things you will:

• Serve customers in both the cashier area and the restaurant
• Serve customers in our Bistro, Swedish Food Market, and Swedish café
• Prepare both cold and hot dishes, along with other tasks
• Do dishwashing from all dining areas
• Maintain high hygiene standard to always meet applicable rules
• Always make sure that the kitchen and restaurant area is tidy, clean and welcoming

Here you will become part of an international team of both fulltime and part-time employees that work towards a common goal. We secure an efficient replenishment of the store and provide good customer service, even though we do not have direct customer contact. We work closely together with all departments, and consequently you gain experience in collaborating with many different types of people. We work in a fast-paced environment, but always support each other and work as a team. Therefore, there is room for you to be exactly who you are, and you will get the opportunity to get a strong social network. We will ensure the correct training, so you will feel safe and competent in the job.

Further information

• This position is for an average of 10-25 hours per week within the time frame 16:00-21:00 in weekdays and 7:00-21:00 in weekends
• Your working time will vary based on the business need, with shifts both in the morning and evening. You should also expect to work every second weekend, both Saturday and Sunday. It is possible to give your input to the work schedule
• Salary and terms of employment follow 3F's Cafeteria union agreement and include pension- and free choice allowance as well as odd-hour payment
• We have various staff benefits including private health insurance, massage, kantine, staff discount, discount club with external partners, yearly gift, bonus, etc
• Start date is as early as possible or after agreement • We have an ongoing interview process and reserve the right to close the job when we have received enough qualified candidates.
