About the area 

Inter IKEA Group is organised in three core businesses - Range, Supply and Retail Concept - and five enabling functions. Together we contribute to the success of IKEA and share responsibility for the franchise offer. 
 
The enabling functions lead key common activities in networks across Inter IKEA Group, as well as cover specific needs for the core businesses. The five Enabling functions are Operations Management, Business Performance & Support, Communication, Sustainability and People & Culture. 

Operations Management leads and holds together the development and maintenance of a common foundation for how we work together across the value chain, our operating model. We enable strategic movements towards the IKEA goals through the strategic landscape and work closely with all parts of the value chain to achieve them. 


Job description

We are now looking for a Digital Product Area Manager 

In this position, you will lead development and operations of all digital products in the assigned area, enabling empowered teams to maximize value delivery, based on clear goals, ways of 

working, and performance follow-up. You will lead and support a Product Area team of digital product managers, leaders, and specialists, all driven by passion and curiosity, as they shape the future of business performance data products, digital products for Finance, Legal, Enterprise Risk & Compliance, Business Steering and Treasury. 

Together with the team you will deliver and maintain data products to enable better steering of the IKEA omnichannel business and shaping and contributing to the digital product scope of  the Finance, Legal, Planning and Accounting processes.  You will support digital product managers and leaders to work closely with business stakeholders, securing the delivery in line with the set-out business goals and OKRs. 
 
Assignment 

  • Accountable for managing the assigned portfolio of digital products and platforms, securing running business, support/service performance, and development. 
  • Accountable for a product area direction and roadmap that considers both life-cycle management and business needs, in accordance with goals set by the Data and Product team and Business (Process) Owners.  
  • Accountable for budget, prioritization, clear and transparent goals, and an aligned development plan across products and related platforms for the area.  
  • Contributing in breaking down overall IKEA strategies and movements to a clear and strategic direction for the area. 
  • Responsible for recruitment, competence development, performance management, retention and succession plans for co-workers in the area.  
  • Responsible to support empowered digital product teams with scope, ways of working, performance follow-up and value propositions, creating prerequisites to optimize the delivery of business value.  
  • Responsible for managing stakeholder engagement, with both business stakeholders and suppliers. 
  • Contribute to adoption of best practice in digital product management and continually benchmark against industry standards. 
  • Accountable for effective and efficient business operations and ways of working  
  • Accountable to integrate with business capabilities and processes and contribute to business transformation 
  • Accountable to secure compliance with framework and standards for the total DPA scope and portfolio 
  • Represent the Digital Product Area for decision making in different business forums.

Knowledge, capabilities and motivation 

As the ideal candidate you have a degree in Business Administration & Finance or other relevant areas. You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position.  

To be successful in this role the following prerequisites must be fulfilled: 

  • Preferably having extensive knowledge of the relevant business process with specialisation in Finance, Legal, Risk & compliance, Treasury and Business Steering. 
  • Extensive business knowledge in Finance & Reporting processes, preferably complemented with knowledge in Legal, Risk & compliance and Business Steering. 
  • Knowledge of business steering/navigation processes and principles with retail market experience and/or value chain experience and close cooperation with stakeholders. 
  • Extensive experience digital development practices, including agile ways of working. 
  • Passionate about enabling ‘a better everyday life’ through technology and innovation.   
  • Knowledge on how to transform digital organization from output and task-driven to value-driven. 
  • Proven experience and knowledge of leading and developing people.  
  • Proven experience with complex stakeholder management. 
  • IKEA experience preferred.

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) located in Delft, the Netherlands.
