You have knowledge in the following areas:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or other related areas
• Minimum of 12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure design, implementation, and optimization, with a focus on SAP environments and cloud technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP infrastructure components, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, and SAP HANA database.
• Proficiency in cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure services, including virtual machines (VMs), storage, networking, and security controls.
• Familiarity with cloud-native tools and services for monitoring, logging, and automation.
• Proven experience in configuring and managing firewall devices, including rule management, policy enforcement, and firmware upgrades.
• Familiarity with firewall management tools and utilities for monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting firewall configurations.
• Strong understanding of SAP architecture, landscape design along with Infrastructure management.
• Understanding of cloud security principles, best practices, and compliance requirements.
• Expertise in infrastructure automation and orchestration tools, such as Puppet, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Ability to develop automation scripts and workflows to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and maintenance tasks.
• Experience implementing security controls such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security in cloud environments.
• Understand compliance requirements which may impact security and works with business and project teams to develop security solutions which address these requirements
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage project scope, budget, and timeline, and drive successful project outcomes.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
• Ability to review design documents, critique architecture recommendations from other SMEs
• Detail oriented and demonstrated ability to achieve goals and objectives with minimal direction
• Clear, concise business communication and experience conducting business requirements workshops with business users.

Your responsibilities

Accountable for the technical delivery within our digital organisation. Responsible for the management of technical operations on the infrastructure level to support the SAP systems hosted in a Cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure design, implementation, and support, with specific expertise in SAP environments hosted on Cloud to lead our organization's cloud transformation initiatives. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the optimal performance, availability, and security of our SAP landscape. The candidate should also have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining firewall solutions to protect our network infrastructure and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.

You will :

• This is a senior subject matter expert (Sr SME) role as a Senior Infrastructure Consultant which would be a part of the Ingka global SAP Centre of excellence (CoE).
• Lead, Design, implement, and support robust/scalable infrastructure solutions for SAP applications, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, and SAP HANA database.
• Oversee the implementation and deployment of SAP infrastructure solutions, ensuring adherence to design specifications, project timelines, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with SAP Basis administrators, developers, and business stakeholders to define infrastructure requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Provide technical expertise in areas such as server virtualization, storage systems, network architecture, and cloud computing, with a focus on optimizing SAP performance and scalability.
• Conduct infrastructure assessments and performance tuning activities to identify and address bottlenecks, optimize resource utilization, and improve system reliability.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, system constraints, and areas for improvement through proactive monitoring, analysis, and tuning.
• Develop and implement automation scripts, tools, and workflows to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and maintenance tasks.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, including system configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in infrastructure-related projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery planning, ensuring successful execution and minimal disruption to business operations.
• Define and enforce security policies, standards, and controls to safeguard SAP infrastructure assets and data from unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal security guidelines.
• Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) strategies for SAP environments, including backup and restore procedures, failover configurations, and recovery testing.
• Develop and maintain DR/BC documentation, runbooks.
• Evaluate existing firewall configurations and propose enhancements or changes to optimize security posture and minimize risk exposure.
• Define firewall rules, access control lists (ACLs), and security policies to control traffic flow and enforce security controls.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of security policies, standards, and guidelines related to firewall management and network security.
• Provide guidance and recommendations to stakeholders on best practices for firewall configuration and security controls.
• Establish performance monitoring and alerting mechanisms for SAP systems running on cloud platforms, using cloud-native monitoring tools and third-party solutions.
• Analyze performance metrics, identify optimization opportunities, and implement tuning measures to improve system efficiency and resource utilization.
• Manage cloud costs and optimize resource usage to ensure cost-effectiveness and budget compliance.
• Implement cost allocation tags, budget controls, and resource optimization strategies to minimize cloud spending without sacrificing performance or reliability.
• Define and enforce cloud governance policies, standards, and guidelines for SAP deployments, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
• Promote adherence to cloud architecture principles, security controls, and operational procedures across project teams and stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly related to SAP infrastructure, and make recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
