About the job:

Reporting to the Shopkeeper, this Team Leader’s role's main responsibilities are to ensure satisfied customers, develop and execute sales steering and selling the IKEA way. You must implement an enjoyable, convenient and successful shopping and buying experience that leads to increased sales and sustained long-term profitability.

Your assignment:

• Your working base is the shop floor where you lead by example every day, supporting, challenging and coaching co-workers.
• You ensure the shop is in excellent shape as new and fully and efficiently stocked with the four merchandising basics in place at all times and that the IKEA product range is presented in ways that inspire and satisfy customers;
• You ensure your team has all the correct knowledge about the product range in your department and the IKEA services so that they can share this with IKEA customers to improve their overall shopping experience;
• You and your team actively sales steer to your department’s top-selling products, prioritised products and IKEA service products in order to maximise sales and long-term profitability;
• You act quickly on commercial opportunities and keep an eye on the competition;
• You actively promote the IKEA social and environmental commitment and work with your team to understand how, together, you can contribute to sustainability.

Your profile:

• You are passionate in home furnishing;
• You have experience in a fast-paced retail environment, experience in home furnishing is a plus;
• You have a passion for selling, reaching your goals and getting the best for IKEA customers;
• You are highly interested in home furnishing, people’s life at home, and the IKEA product range, capable of quickly developing in-depth knowledge of the local market and business conditions;
• You understand the local market and competition; the store operations, range presentation, and in-store logistics the IKEA way;
• You enjoy working in a fast-paced and future-oriented environment that is focused on people's everyday life at home.
