What you'll be doing day to day

• Prepare tax returns and supporting documentation for accurate and timely filings of International, Federal, State and local Income & Franchise Tax returns and all other direct tax reports.
• Contribute in implementing a country tax strategy in line with the relevant Group Policies, Strategies and Business Plans, after consultation with Group Tax.
• Analyze and compile financial and accounting data needed for the preparation of accurate and timely accounting for income taxes (Tax Provision) under Dutch and US GAAP.
• Perform research and interpret non-complex tax issues, at the direction of the Direct Tax Leader, to ensure accurate and timely direct tax compliance for operations and transactions.
• Compile, analyze and generate data (e.g., CODA, Basware, GL, etc.) utilizing various tools (e.g., excel, etc.) to support direct tax compliance.
• Prepare and analyze supporting documentation, schedules and worksheets to support tax filing positions, tax compliance, audit inquiries and accounting for income taxes.
• Compile, analyze and generate data needed to forecast prospective direct tax liabilities and cash flows for tax planning and financial reporting purposes.
• Compile, analyze and generate data needed for direct tax planning projects, opportunities, due diligence, etc., to minimize taxes, improve efficiencies, structure new investments, etc.
• Utilize direct Technology applications (OneSource OIT, OTP, Tax Fixed Assets, etc.) and ensure accurate and compliant output.
• Alert Direct Tax Leader and/or County Tax Manager on any potential areas for improvement.
• Gather, analyze and generate data to facilitate responses for direct tax audits in cooperation with Direct Tax Leader and Country Tax Manager.
• Gather, analyze and generate data to support direct tax controversies (e.g., Appeals, Protests, Competent Authority, Litigation).
• Participate in local and/or global projects (providing relevant input).

The purpose of the Tax Department is to manage all direct and indirect tax matters for the Ingka Group in the country to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements. The Tax Department is an active partner to internal and external stakeholders in respect of all relevant tax topics.

The salary range for this role is: $65,627-$95,510
Hybrid workplace: Three days a week onsite, candidates must be within a commutable distance to our Service Office in Conshohocken, PA
