A day in your life with us

In this role, you’ll help lead and support financial reporting that not only strengthens our business, but also creates positive impact for people and the planet. You’ll contribute to profitable growth and long-term financial independence by delivering reliable Accounting & Reporting services. With a strong focus on compliance and good governance, you’ll enable entrepreneurship while helping protect our co-workers, customers, and the IKEA brand.

    About the assignment:

    • Support the business in setting up and maintaining financial structures to follow project costs and performance, helping us make smart, informed decisions.
    • Work closely with Business Navigation to create clear insights that support project planning and delivery.
    • Review budgets, forecasts, and actual results — and help spot where things differ from the plan.
    • Coordinate project budgets and follow up on costs and benefits to make sure we’re staying on track and adding value.
    • Collaborate with our Accounting & Reporting teams to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting that meets both global and local standards.
    • Help align our work with global financial frameworks while finding practical solutions for local needs.
    • Contribute to global projects that improve the way we work with financial operations and reporting.
    • Share risks or audit findings with your team and support follow-up actions.
    • Make sure strong financial controls are in place for every project you’re involved in.
    • Track and report final project results compared to the original plan or business case.
    • Connect with colleagues across different teams, functions, and countries to support collaboration and shared goals.
    • Help build the future by supporting learning, performance, and smooth ways of working across the organisation.
    • Contribute to a safe and positive environment for co-workers, consultants, and partners — always in line with our IKEA values and policies.

    Apply now!

We offer a full-time (40h per week) permanent position. In this role, you will report to the Country Financial Controlling & Tax Manager.

Our Service Office is based in Belgrade, but since we’re a decentralized team in IKEA South East Europe, you don’t need to pack your bags. If you live in Slovenia, Croatia or Romania, you can work from your home country and still be fully part of the team.

Our job ad will be open for your application until May 6th, 2025. Please apply with your CV (in English) via our recruitment system.

    • Be yourself, with us - We’re big on togetherness, and even bigger on being you. Your voice matters here – your ideas, your energy, your unique way of seeing the world. You’ll work in a team that supports and inspires.
    • Office or home? A bit of both - We mix working from the office with the option to work from home. While we still spend time together on-site, there's flexibility to spend part of your week working from the comfort of your home.
    • A workplace that cares - Your well-being is important to us. That’s why you’ll have access to a private health insurance plan, life insurance, and 24/7 professional support for anything from emotional challenges to legal or financial advice.
    • Let’s grow – together - At IKEA, success is shared. Our One IKEA Bonus program celebrates team results – because great things happen when we all move in the same direction.
    • Furnish your life with us - Need a new wardrobe? Sofa? Kitchen? As an IKEA co-worker, you’ll enjoy a discount on our products – so you can bring that IKEA feeling into every room of your home.
    • Your journey, your direction - Curious about new roles, new departments, even new countries? We make internal mobility a real thing – with plenty of learning opportunities and career paths to explore. You don’t have to leave IKEA to grow.
