    As the Country Insights Leader for IKEA Australia & New Zealand, you will lead the creation and dissemination of actionable insights, enabling better-informed strategies, plans, and decisions within the local market. You will empower business partners to create value, drive growth, and strategically advise management with integrated insights. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
    • Champion data-driven decision-making promoting and ensuring the use of insights to significantly improve business performance and strategic planning.
    • Conducts advanced data exploration and analysis leveraging modern data mining techniques, AI and visualisation tools to deliver actionable insights for stakeholders.
    • Evaluates and integrates diverse data sources assessing both internal and external structured data for product analytics and strategic decision-making.
    • Write demanding SQL queries that extract, transform and load data from storage to an appropriate format.
    • Translate data into compelling narratives collaborating cross-functionally to ensure data solutions meet business needs and continuously generate value.



    You are an analytical powerhouse with excellent skills in transforming market, consumer, and customer data into commercially viable insights. You possess strong leadership capabilities, inspiring peers and stakeholders with your communication and upholding the brand tone. Your ability to prioritise and make swift, simple decisions is matched by your holistic understanding of a global organization, enabling you to identify key business opportunities. You are adept at measuring performance, capturing learnings, and continuously improving planning and outcomes. Your extensive knowledge spans home furnishing and retail market drivers, various consumer research methodologies, and the intricacies of store activation, assortment management, pricing, and in-store communication. Furthermore, you are well-versed in business planning, change management, and stakeholder engagement. You understand the IKEA omnichannel reality, online customer behaviours, and operational plans, and have a deep understanding of customer behaviours and market trends crucial for attracting, developing, and retaining customers.

    To be considered for this role you will have:
    • Formal qualifications in computer science, data analytics, business management, or an equivalent field.
    • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Insights & Analytics, demonstrating a track record of delivering impactful results.
    • At least 5 years of experience in leading and influencing cross-functional teams and co-workers.
    • Previous experience in the retail sector, with a preference for the home furnishing industry.
    • Proven experience in strategic planning, driving project output, and performance measurement.
    • Demonstrated strong analytical and research capabilities.
    • Excellent data visualization (e.g. PowerBI) and presentation skills.
    • Extensive experience utilising both quantitative and qualitative research methods, as well as internal data for insightful analysis. Preference for experience in UX design and A/B testing.

    Additional information:
    • Permanent, full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.
    • Location for the role is IKEA Service Office, Tempe, NSW.
    • If you are successful for this role, you will be required to obtain a national police check.
