Who you are

• You have previous carpentry related work experience gained in a commercial business, ideally in the construction and building industry or from exhibition installations. ​​
• You have a visual competence with a keen eye for aesthetics.​
• You have a strong passion for quality, craftsmanship and home furnishing.​​
• You desire to seek out opportunities to make improvements in the way we work.​​
• You are ability to combine commercial, aesthetic and practical skills.​​
• You are confident in an approaching and communicating clearly with different people in various situations. ​​
• You have responsibilities as well as the ability to meet set deadlines.

A day in your life with us

• You are contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market. ​​
• You are following work briefs agreed with colleagues to implement all store media, such as wall constructions, floor laying, painting, tiling and the building of complex furniture installations.​​
• You are planning and ordering materials and resources, ensuring accurate costs are sought and agreed in order to maximize efficiency and minimise costs.​​
• You are working with your colleagues to make sure the store is always in excellent shape.​​
• You will use knowledge of people's life at home, range presentation and the IKEA visual identity to support the HF&RD team in presenting and communicating the IKEA product range. ​​
• You will prioritise work to meet the needs and expectations of store visitors and minimize disruption when working on the ​shop floor.​​
• You need to secure high quality, simplicity and cost-consciousness in the execution of work by using best practice and ​following routines.​​
• You will implement the agreed HF&RD action plan with a sense of urgency and an eye for detail in order to support ​the creation of a strong visual impression in the store.​​
• You are conscious of the importance of safety at all times while working on the shop floor and take fast action when ​safety is compromised.​
