    IKEA Services India is one of the Supply Areas for IKEA, which represent South Asia Region comprising of India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Dubai (Supply Area South Asia-SASA). SASA has a rich history of sourcing from the South Asia region for more than four decades. Over these years, we have brought in many processes and best practices that have improved the way we work with our business partners. Transformation of textile, carpet industry and recycle plastic industry are a few such examples. This partnership with suppliers has helped to continuously grow our sourcing operations.


    Job description

    Purpose of job:

    • To contribute to great and consistent coworker experience. The P&C Specialists provide expert knowledge and advice to the organization within P&C processes like compliance, local legal aspects on Labour laws, shops & establishment law compliance /legal unit.
    • Develop, update, implement and assess standards, guidelines and policies within the own areas of expertise accordance to specific country laws and regulation and global policies and guidelines

    Assignment:

    In this role as a P&C specialist, you will:

    • Contribute to the creation and operational implementation of the P&C action plan and where the area of expertise is of high value.
    • Ensure P&C-related compliance with relevant internal and external regulations. Take actions in case of deviations or improvement potentials.
    • As a functional expert, provide solutions and execution in one or more of the following P&C fields: Labour law and Work environment, P&C systems and database, payroll, compensation and benefits, hiring/exit processes and relocation, personnel administration, internal and external audit.
    • Establish relevant company standards/guidelines/working methods and help enforce and implement them.
    • Act as a cultural role model in ways that demonstrate the IKEA values.

    Qualification

    To be successful in this role, you need to have/be:

    • Minimum 10 years of HR experience, with strong expertise in labour relations and employee compliance matters
    • Knowledge of local employment legislations, coworker relations and labour market situations and trends
    • Hands-on experience and fact-based knowledge of local labour codes, including Shops & Establishment Act and employment legislation
    • Ability to interpret, implement, and monitor employment policies
    • Ability to work comfortably and communicate effectively with various audiences both verbally and in writing.
    • Fluency in English; local language is a plus
    • Self-reliant and motivated with proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
