    Additional information:
    • These roles are permanent part time.
    • Contracts range from 30-50hrs/fortnight
    • The internal job title for this role is IKEA Food Co-worker
    • As our store operates 7 days per week, we are looking for co-workers with flexible availability. Open availability is highly regarded; however, candidates must be available to work from Wednesday to Sunday, including afternoon and evening shifts up unitl 10pm.

    About this work area

    As an IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    IKEA Cook Co-worker
    • Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with Food standards by keeping it clean, organised
    • Food preparation, cooking, serving and customer service with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels and cooking methods.
    • Processing dishes and maintaining the washing up area and machines whilst supporting and maintaining the cleanliness of the customer restaurant.

    IKEA Restaurant Co-worker
    • Food preparation and customer service with a focus on giving our customers a great experience
    • Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with Food standards by keeping it clean, organised
    • Clearing of tables and wiping down benchtops, making sure coffee machines are clean and full
    • Active selling, cash handling and service with a smile!
    • Replenishment of food and drinks cabinets and fridges
    • Some manual handling – up to 15kg.

    IKEA Bistro Co-worker
    • Preparing and serving Bistro food and beverages while maintaining high standards of quality, food safety and presentation.
    • Delivering friendly and efficient customer service, ensuring every customer leaves with a positive experience.
    • Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked Bistro area in compliance with IKEA Food standards.
    • Operating registers, processing customer transactions and replenishing food and beverage stock.
    • Supporting waste reduction initiatives, stock rotation and daily operational routines.
    • Some manual handling – up to 15kg.



    As an IKEA Food Co-worker you are:
    • Experienced with working in an extremely fast paced, hands-on environment.
    • Previous hospitality experience is highly regarded.
    • Enthusiastic about working within a team of like-minded people.
    • Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational. routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks.
