Who you are

Please note that this is a non-paid academic internship for students looking to complete the Program requirements.
The internship will commence in January or February with a minimum of 12 weeks.

As a communication intern you:

- Have a strong knowledge of communication methods and processes to deliver efficient communication and stakeholder plans and campaigns.
- have a deep interest for digital (communication) tools and evolutions of ways of working (Teams, Sharepoint, email, remote working…)
- Have strong communication skills in French or Dutch (spoken and written), and English.
- Have proven education in strategic communications or equivalent
- Have the ability to understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of communication as an integrated part of the business
- Can communicate verbally, visually and in writing in an inspirational way with down to earth and simple IKEA tone of voice
- Can work autonomously but also in team
- Have a proactive attitude in problem solving and hands-on approach when necessary
- Are up to date with communication trends and principles, to give advice in the choice of tools, methods and channels
- You are ready to move across Belgium between our different units (stores, call center, distribution center) if required.

A day in your life with us

You will:
- Be responsible for different internal communication assignments, supporting us in various internal campaigns
-Support with the weekly newsletter, from briefing to drafting articles, proofreading, setting up the final copy in staffbase and sending the newsletter
- Contribute to the development and delivery of communication projects hand in hand with other departments
- Define, plan, create/execute and follow up on internal communications activities
- Ensure a good interaction with the unit and adapt to the local culture
