Additional information:
• This role is ​temporary, full-time 76 hours per/fortnight, contract ends February 2026. ​• The preferred location for the role is Service Office, Tempe, NSW, where hybrid working including a minimum of 3 days in the Service Office is required.
• The internal job title for this position is Online Performance Specialist.
•As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for final candidates.
• If you are successful for this role, you will be required to obtain a National Police Check.

About this work area

As ​Checkout Specialist E-commerce (New Zealand Project)​ your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Responsible to set up and looking after the checkout on the IKEA New Zealand’s website; the design, validation tools, testing checkout functionality and useability, trouble shooting.
• Responsible to set up all the dashboards related to the lower funnel.
• Survey external benchmarks to understand industry trends and enable assessment of IKEAs online performance compared to competitors in addition to doing competitor analysis to understand the competition.
• Identify proven solutions and ideas to facilitate quicker, leaner and simpler operations that benefit customers within IKEA globally but also externally.
• Integrate “The Customer Experience Map” into the operational ways of working to secure an end-to-end approach for creating a seamless experience for the customer and work with multiple stakeholders across the organisation to secure a smooth check out process including payments, fulfillment and digital.
• Perform lower conversion and upper funnel analysis to understand customer behaviour in New Zealand once the website is live along the whole purchasing process and the main reasons why customers leave and buy from IKEA and make recommendations to stakeholders on how to improve results.
• Collaborate with Global to share ways of working and participate in Global meetings which require flexibility in hours, including being available late nights to accommodate meetings held across the many time zones.
• Support in analyzing services and setting up service systems and the online interface for IKEA New Zealand to enhance service performance and customer experience.



As ​Checkout Specialist E-commerce (New Zealand Project)​:
• Passionate about contributing to a seamless customer shopping experience for our New Zealand customers through translating data, by understanding the customer needs and providing solutions and recommendations to stakeholders across the business to secure an exceptional customer experience.
• Naturally curious and have a sound understanding of data analytics to proactively identify opportunities throughout IKEA’s online channel from the customer perspective.
• Able to balance multiple priorities, work autonomously and can meet deadlines to support business growth and organisational agility.
• Capable of understanding operations and working with a broader group of stakeholders.

For this role you will be required to have the following experience:
• Proficiency in BigQuery and SQL.
• Experience with visualization tools: Looker Studio, PowerBI, or Tableau.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4) or Adobe Analytics.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Knowledge of A/B testing tools, such as ContentSquare and Optimizely.

The following experience is preferred, however not essential:
• Experience with programming languages: Python or R.
• Basic understanding of web development: HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
