Who you are

As the current Communication & Interior design manager takes the next step to a new position within IKEA, we are now looking for a new Com&In manager for a full-time and permanent position at IKEA Raisio to lead, develop and inspire the Com&In team and our visitors.

You are a people orientated, results focused leader with a passion to lead the home furnishing movement and life at home agenda with both co-workers and consumers in the local market. Your passion for deep knowledge of life at home will come across in the way you lead, develop and inspire the Com&In team and other functions in the store.

You will bring to the role:
• Broad experience in leading and inspiring the Com&In leaders, supporting the development of their knowledge relating to layout, range presentation and store communication thereby growing the IKEA business, increasing market share and contributing to positioning the IKEA Brand as the leader in life at home in the local market.
• Broad knowledge of how to stimulate and increase interest in home furnishing and to secure that all co-workers in the store understand how they contribute to the life at home agenda in the local market.
• Broad experience in establishing internal agreements, working processes and routines that secure a high level of vitality and seasonality throughout the store, but also maximise the potential of common solutions and create opportunities for further investment for growth.
• Broad experience and knowledge on how to best inspire the Com&In team to take action to realise opportunities in both the short and long term
• Good knowledge of how to set direction, create operational plans and develop business cases for investment in Com&In to secure the growth agenda as well as follow-up on goals and KPIs.
• Good knowledge of change management leadership principles and stakeholder management
• Good knowledge of co-worker satisfaction assessments and potential actions to ensure the desired co-worker satisfaction and retention.
• Good knowledge of how to economise resources to maximise business potential and return.
• Knowledge of IKEA tools, methods and processes within Communication & Interior Design is seen as an advantage.

You will have a proven track record in the following areas:
• Creative leadership and out of the box thinking; initiating and facilitating workshops to generate creative directions to increase the emotional connection with both co-workers and consumers.
• Leadership of the store Com&In team to secure relevant and inspiring range presentation solutions, an optimal store layout and effective and efficient store communication that builds the IKEA Brand and distances IKEA retailers from the competition.
• Leadership experience that adapts to the individual and the team, using leading, managing, coaching and mentoring skills when and where required to influence a team of co-workers and colleagues while communicating in an inspirational way with the IKEA tone of voice.
• Ability to follow up and measure performance of output and capture learnings to improve planning and performance moving forward.
• Strong strategic and creative skills with the ability how to prioritize, delegate, and make efficient decisions with speed and simplicity, always taking a holistic and long-term view.

Your previous experience and proven skills:
• Formal qualifications in Interior Design, Architecture, Communication, Marketing, or specific IKEA relevant training
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in Communication & Interior Design
• Minimum 5 years of experience in leading and managing leaders and teams with different disciplines within the function
• Proven customer and consumer-focused mind-set
• Experience from managing change in a complex business environment
• Experience in creating business cases for investment
• Take the lead in driving an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and empowered.
• Take a leadership role in creating an open and collaborative climate and be a role model for the IKEA values by informing, engaging, and motivating our people.

• Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market by using the IKEA product range to show many relevant, functional, beautiful, sustainable and affordable solutions in different distinct styles.
• Securing the use of the interior design layout as a commercial tool to plan and implement commercial strategies throughout the store.
• Recruiting, developing and leading your team.
