We are looking for a passionate leader who will take over the responsibility for the leadership & competence development across South Korea. You will work in close collaboration with functional (matrix) managers and your mission will include continuously elevating the quality of recruitment throughout the country. The contract is for a period of 15 months (approx between October 2024 and December 2025).

You know how to implement long-term plans, set budgets and establish goals. Your expertise extends to knowing how to attract, grow, and support co-workers & leaders and their careers within IKEA. You analyze learning needs and localize learning delivery methods & materials, which support both IKEA’s talent management needs and also meet the competence development needs of our many co-workers.

You demonstrate strong leadership skills, effectively guiding many stakeholders to handle multiple priorities, initiatives and tasks. You apply business knowledge and leverage digital best practices to achieve organizational goals and objectives. You know how to work independently, take your own initiatives and responsibility. You express ideas and opinions effectively - with the ability to influence and inspire.

For this role, we seek candidates with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in People & Culture (Human Resources), specifically in leadership and competence development on a national scale or senior leadership within people and culture.

In this role your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Be responsible to ensure that global tools and learning offers are used: keeping country competence and leadership development offer up-to-date, and coordinate all development of learning solutions from the People & Culture organization.
- Collaborate closely with competence specialists to ensure key capability building goals translate to learning curriculum, as well as coordinating with other functions to develop country specific solutions.
- Lead execution of country training calendar for both leadership and competence development including securing available and competent facilitators.
- Facilitate leadership trainings in the country as the local expert on leadership.
- Gather and coordinate all country level competence profiles, ensuring alignment across functions.
- Network with stakeholders across the country organization to best understand and deliver on their Competence & Leadership development solution needs.

To be considered for this role you must fulfil the following requirements:

- 3-year minimum experience of progressive HR experience, especially in Learning & Development.
- Experience developing and facilitating training content.
- Knowledge of analyzing learning needs and localizing learning delivery methods and curriculums to meet the competence development needs of the business.
- Ability to coach managers across all functions of the organization.
- Experience with a mix of strategic, tactical and operational assignments.
- Highly adaptable nature, you can embrace change and are comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will report to the Country Talent Development Manager and the role is located in Gwangmyeong, South Korea. This is a maternity cover and there will be a handover from current position holder.
