Job description
We are looking for someone with passion and capability to:
- Develop and build the IKEA products in assigned area
- Secure translating our knowledge and insights in people’s life at home, into our products with IKEA identity.
- Fit the products into the product range offer and IKEA home furnishing offer.
- Lead product development securing democratic design by using our value chain in an optimal way.
- Together with the cross functional team, execute and secure operational functional activities within the assigned scope of product development, product improvement and life cycle management.
- Contribute to the creation of the overall HFB plan together with cross functional competence
- Contribute to the creation of the overall range plan and the HFB (project) portfolio.
- Contribute to strong collaboration and inclusive climate enabling high performing teams.
Qualification
We are looking for you with:
- Strong passion for life at home, home furnishings, design, and business development.
- Curious and problem-solving mindset that dares to push boundaries to always strive to develop better products and a better product range offer.
- Passionate about leading and developing better products together with diverse competences, in a constantly changing international environment.
- Motivated by hands on work to secure that goals and deadlines are met.
- Good understanding of the IKEA product range foundation, IKEA Business model, strategic landscape, IKEA direction and Operating model.
- Deep knowledge about IKEA Identity; Democratic design, IKEA style groups, IKEA long term priorities, IKEA living situations and IKEA home furnishing.
- Deep knowledge in Life at home, design, current and future trends, and consumer needs and dreams now and tomorrow.
- Strong ability to lead cross functional competencies towards a common ambition, build networks and strong relations.
- Strong ability to navigate and lead in the unknown by translating imagination into actions and nurture design thinking.
- Strong ability to communicate, visualize, and inspire in a clear way.
- Strong ability to translate knowledge and insights into products for life at home, the factory floor, and customer meeting points.
- Good analytic skills and a problem-solving approach, to enable and secure proactive actions.
More Information
This position will be based in Bangalore, India. Travelling is part of the assignment to collaborate and work with different stakeholders, when needed.
